Dark Elemental Magic, Snape's Expectations

"Wow, I found Professor Kate's classes really interesting, unlike Professor Snape's coldness."

"Professor Kate is so handsome and so interesting. I get to look at such a handsome face while listening to such an interesting class, and I even remembered everything Professor Kate taught."

"Will he help us?" Ron Weasley asked hesitantly.

"Maybe he will?" Hermione Granger said confidently, giving Ron Weasley a slap on the shoulder.

"If it really comes down to it, we'll act cute, Ron Weasley," Hermione Granger added.

Harry Potter chuckled and patted Ron Weasley. "When it's time to act cute, you do it. You probably need Galleons more than I do."

Facing Harry Potter and Hermione Granger's gazes, Ron Weasley thought for a moment, then said solemnly, "All right!"

Inside Snape's office.

Katelyle looked around Snape's office. There were all kinds of documents and experimental materials. Though the atmosphere was somewhat gloomy, it was clear that Snape was serious and dedicated when it came to his work.

"Professor Kate, I never expected you to be so talented at teaching as well. I can see that they studied very seriously and learned very quickly."

"I'm curious. Besides creating Elemental Magic and mastering Potions and Animagus transformation, what else can you do?"

Snape had developed a great deal of goodwill toward Katelyle. It was not merely because of Dumbledore's reminder and consideration, but also because of Katelyle's warmth, impeccable manners, and formidable abilities.

Snape liked Dark Magic, and he was also deeply interested in the Dark Elemental Magic Katelyle had proposed.

Thus, while discussing Potions with Katelyle, Snape would also ask about Dark Elemental Magic.

"Alchemy!" Katelyle said with a smile.

Katelyle thought for a moment, then took out his wand and waved it through the air. The spell landed on a globe nearby, which immediately began to glow and transformed into a Crystal Ball.

"If you want to learn Dark Elemental Magic, we must first see whether Dark Element exists within your body."

"Now you have an opportunity. Pour your magic into the Crystal Ball. Don't do it too quickly; release it slowly."

Upon hearing Katelyle's words, Snape walked up to the Crystal Ball and examined it for a while. Then he looked at Katelyle and asked, "Can this test my magical attribute?"

Snape had first heard the term "magical attribute" from Katelyle, so he understood it quickly.

"Yes, but it is a single-use item now. It can only test you once," Katelyle explained with a smile.

Snape nodded, placed his right hand on the Crystal Ball, and followed Katelyle's instructions, feeding magic into it.

Magic flowed within the Crystal Ball. Then it began to glow, and after a moment, the entire Crystal Ball turned black.

Moments later, the Crystal Ball turned back into a globe, and the globe shattered as well.

Snape was startled by the sight before him. What was going on?

Katelyle glanced at Snape and smiled. "Don't worry. It was only because your magic is too immense. This globe simply couldn't withstand your power and broke."

"Professor Snape, your instincts were quite accurate. Your magic contains an immense amount of Dark Element."

"You are very suited to cultivating Dark Elemental Magic."

"This is a miracle. Light Elemental Magic and Dark Elemental Magic are extremely rare forms of magic. I firmly believe that finding even one such person among a million would already be remarkable."

Hearing this, Snape relaxed slightly. Then he said solemnly to Katelyle, "Professor Kate, please teach me Dark Elemental Magic."

Thinking of Katelyle's battle with the black-robed man last night, Snape felt his heart stir with excitement.
