Amusingly, Fred and George revealed who their partners for the ball would be during the meal.
Fred's partner was Angelina Johnson, and George's was Alicia Spinnet.
Angelina Johnson and Alicia Spinnet were close friends, as well as Chasers on the Gryffindor Quidditch Team.
Fred and George had already set their sights on them back when they were on the team.
With their dance partners settled, Harry and the others returned to their regular studies.
Of course, they did not forget to practice dancing, either.
That was very important to them.
Time passed, and the Christmas Ball arrived.
They received plenty of gifts, generous ones, too.
They had each prepared gifts for their close friends, and among the presents they received were some from Draco Malfoy.
Receiving a Christmas gift from Draco Malfoy was something Harry Potter had never expected, and it came as quite a surprise.
Even so, Harry Potter was delighted, and he gave Draco Malfoy a gift from his own collection as a Christmas present.
It was a lovely testament to their friendship.
