"You can try the Flying Charm. That should quickly drain the excess magic in your body."
Dumbledore spoke up. Professor McGonagall frowned, looking worried. "Lyon has just experienced a Magical Outburst, and the Flying Charm is far from simple. He may not be able to learn it."
"Yes, it would be better to let Lyon rest in the Hospital Wing," Professor Sprout agreed.
"No, he needs to vent his magic. And judging from what just happened, Lyon has most likely already learned the Flying Charm." Dumbledore shook his head.
Lyon did not hesitate. This time, he did not follow the operational method of the Levitation Charm. Instead, he independently constructed a new method of magical output within his body.
As vast amounts of magic surged, a powerful force gathered in Lyon's chest.
Under everyone's astonished gazes, Lyon's body slowly rose into the air.
The Flying Charm... had succeeded!
[დინ! Congratulations, Host. Levitation Charm has successfully advanced: Flying Charm.] [დინ, Host has mastered the Flying Charm and unlocked the achievement: Mom, look, there's someone flying in the sky!] [Achievement Reward: Ancient Magic: Time-Reversal Charm—Beginner.]
Listening to the system's voice in his ear, Lyon frowned. This time, the reward was actually just a spell.
That was beyond Lyon's expectations. The system's achievement rewards had generally been extremely powerful.
Not to mention the talents it had rewarded; just the two magical creature eggs alone—one was an Elder Fire Dragon egg, and the other was a Mutated Billywig egg.
Could this ancient magic be hiding some mystery?
But there was no time to think about it now. Lyon quickly stabilized his Flying Charm, preventing himself from falling.
Flitwick's pupils flickered. "Previously, he floated by forcibly pulling himself with magic. I can tell that this time is different."
Professor McGonagall frowned deeply. "This... really is the Flying Charm! His body has clearly become lighter!"
"It seems... he has... learned it." Professor Quirrell spoke in a trembling voice.
Perhaps because the Flying Charm was originally a spell created by Voldemort, Quirrell felt as though he could see Voldemort's shadow in Lyon. His body could not help but tremble.
Lyon watched his own body in disbelief for a moment, then frowned and cautiously mobilized his magic.
In an instant, his body shot through the air at high speed. If he had not stopped quickly enough, he would have flown straight out the window.
After testing his spell for a while and sensing that it did not consume much magic, Lyon finally smiled faintly and descended to the ground.
"Just as I thought, Mr. Shelby. Congratulations on mastering the Flying Charm."
Dumbledore was the first to speak, and the other professors began applauding as well.
Lyon showed no embarrassment or anything of the sort. He bowed to each of the professors.
"If not for Professor Snape and Professor Flitwick's help, I truly could not have learned the Flying Charm so quickly."
"And when my magic erupted earlier, it was thanks to all of the professors' selfless help that the school and the other students were protected."
Flitwick grinned and stepped forward, patting Lyon's arm as he offered a few words of encouragement.
Snape, as usual, kept a cold face. Yet after hearing Lyon's words, he felt as though the corners of his mouth were about to curl up.
Look at that. That's my student. Not only is his comprehension astonishing, but he even knows exactly what to say.
After learning the Flying Charm, he had first given the credit to the other professors.
Even if Snape knew Lyon might merely be being polite, those words still sounded delightful.
He could practically feel the envious looks from Professor Sprout and Professor McGonagall beside him. That was also why he always enjoyed lingering around the Teachers' Common Room.
"Worthy of being a renowned Muggle-world mafia godfather. Whether it is your comprehension or your mind, you are exceptional." Dumbledore naturally took in everyone's thoughts. His eyes shifted as he looked at Lyon.
"Mr. Shelby, I should take you to the Hospital Wing now."
Lyon smiled and shook his head. "Headmaster, there is one more thing."
Just as Dumbledore was about to ask what it was, he saw Lyon raise his wand.
"Reparo!"
A blue glow suddenly appeared at the tip of Lyon's wand, instantly enveloping the entire Teachers' Common Room.
As Lyon waved his wand, the large amount of splintered wood and stone debris on the floor rose into the air, assembling themselves back into their original furniture.
Sofas, chairs, tables, and more—all of it was restored in the blink of an eye. The entire Teachers' Common Room looked as though nothing had happened.
"I truly disturbed all of you professors today. Please forgive me."
After finishing all this, Lyon gave the professors present an elegant bow.
"Oh, what a polite child. It's all right," Professor Sprout said first as she watched Lyon's actions.
Thinking of the young wizards in this year, even when they got into trouble, how could they possibly apologize so politely?
Moreover, Lyon had not deliberately damaged the place in the first place, yet he still took responsibility and apologized to the professors here. One could see a person's bearing and breadth from such small details.
"All right, Mr. Shelby, let's go." A trace of appreciation appeared in Dumbledore's eyes as he led Lyon through corridor after corridor. Before long, the two arrived at the Hospital Wing.
Madam Pomfrey was extremely alarmed. She took Lyon through a full examination, and after confirming that he had not suffered any major injuries, she demanded that he remain hospitalized for observation for three days.
Lyon expressed strong dissatisfaction with this. He had only been at Hogwarts for a few days, and now he had to be hospitalized?
He felt like a dried-up sponge, rapidly absorbing nourishment at Hogwarts. If he was hospitalized now, he would inevitably miss lessons.
But he discovered that he simply could not argue with Madam Pomfrey...
So he decided to rest for a few days.
However, Little Black, who had been following him the whole time, suffered for it. Little Black fed on blood; outside, it could still obtain some from beyond the school grounds or from the Forbidden Forest.
Lyon simply had Little Black fly into the Forbidden Forest and told it to forage for itself.
Well... as long as it did not provoke the centaurs or the giant spiders, it could do whatever it wanted.
At the same time, a burst of cheers erupted in the Gryffindor Common Room.
"Oh, Merlin's arse! We did it!"
Fred slapped Lee Jordan, who was beside him, on the shoulder, then excitedly smacked Lee on the head.
"Fred, I have to tell you, your armor can at most block a few simple jinxes. If you don't improve your Iron Armor Charm further, I think Lyon will take away our research funding."
George looked helplessly at the delighted Fred, but Lee Jordan beside him patted George on the shoulder.
"It's fine. As long as we increase the power of the Iron Armor Charm, there won't be a problem."
"By the way, did you feel that disturbance just now?"
George brought up another question.
"You mean that terrifying magic? Brother, I'll bet you that magic was definitely caused by one of the teachers. There's no way a student in the school could be that powerful."
"Maybe it was the magic of some seventh-year student," Fred added from the side.
"Impossible. A seventh-year couldn't create such a huge disturbance, and that magical fluctuation came from the Teachers' Common Room. There's no mistake."
"This has nothing to do with us. We should go find Lyon in the Slytherin Common Room." George shook his head, holding the Jinx-Repelling Armor in his hand.
"Did you hear? Yesterday, the second- and third-year Slytherin students went looking for trouble with Lyon, but Lyon took care of them with just two spells!" When Lyon was mentioned, Lee Jordan recalled what had happened yesterday.
"Yes, yes! One was the Fiendfyre Curse, and what was the other one again? Burning Butt?"
"Fred, that was Fire Shield."
"I heard that only Grindelwald back then could cast that spell."
"Haha, as expected of our big benefactor."
As they spoke, the three headed toward the common room entrance.
The moment they pulled open the door, two figures suddenly came straight at them and crashed solidly into the three of them.
"Damn it! Who was that?"
The person opposite them was clearly a head shorter than the three. George took a closer look and frowned. "Ron, Harry, what are you doing?"
Ron rubbed his nose in confusion. When he saw that it was George and the others, he grinned and burst out laughing.
"Hahaha, George, Fred, did you know? Lyon got beaten into the Hospital Wing!"
Harry tugged at Ron's robe beside him. "Ron, we still don't know how he ended up in the hospital. We shouldn't talk nonsense."
Ron proudly raised his head. "Harry, you're such a killjoy. Lyon is usually so arrogant and overbearing. He must have rubbed some upper-year students the wrong way and gotten taught a lesson. Now that he's been taught a lesson, he'll behave himself, hahaha!"
George and the other two quickly exchanged glances, their hearts tightening.
Whether at school or on the train, they had gotten along very well with Lyon. He had not only treated them to snacks, but also given each of them two hundred Galleons a month in research funding.
Whether for public or private reasons, they did not want anything to happen to Lyon.
"Come on, the Hospital Wing!"
The three exchanged looks and quickly decided to head for the Hospital Wing.
