Background / History

The Li Family has stood in Heavenly Phoenix City for four hundred years. Its ancestral inheritance includes the Sky Phoenix Halberd martial soul lineage and the Phoenix Orb, a treasure containing the bloodline origin of a divine-rank phoenix. The orb was lost during internal strife roughly a century earlier, when a branch departed to protect it. 5 35

Before the main conflict, Skywood Village was a modest Li Family income source through its production of Ironheart Wood. The disappearance of the family’s tribute-collection team and a reporting clansman prompted the young master, Li Xuansheng, to lead an investigation. The expedition was massacred by the Qiu Family, with Gu Yi and the accompanying Li clansmen killed while protecting Xuansheng. 1 2

The family responded by recalling members, raising Heavenly Phoenix City’s defenses, and deepening its alliance with the Dongyue Clan. Story Role / Major Arcs

Skywood Village Massacre

The family sends Li Xuansheng and Gu Yi to investigate missing personnel at Skywood Village. The operation is a Qiu Family trap; nearly the entire team dies, and Gu Yi sacrifices himself to enable Xuansheng’s escape. Chen Jianjun’s arrival and execution of Qiu Wanhe prevent the young master’s death but turn covert hostility into an unavoidable feud. 1 2

Mobilization and Reinforcements

Following the massacre, the Li Family recalls its scattered members, fortifies Heavenly Phoenix City, and coordinates with the Dongyue Clan. The return of Li She Long also restores the Phoenix Orb, while Li Tianwu and Li Changlong later reinforce the family during a Qiu attack. 3 5 13

First Defense of the Estate

The Qiu Family launches a nighttime assault led by Qiu Qianchi and ten Titled Douluo. Although the estate suffers severe casualties, Li Yunming reveals his Rank 99 strength, forces Qiu Qianchi to flee after severing his arm, and leads the pursuit that destroys most of the attacking force. 18 22

The victory costs the family forty-three dead and more than one hundred wounded. The family honors its fallen, compensates their relatives, admits Nangong Yi into Heaven Hall, and begins repairing its defenses. 23

War Against the Qiu Family and Five Poisons Valley

The Qiu Family forms an alliance with Five Poisons Valley, whose broader plan targets Heavenly Heart City and the Dongyue Clan. The Li and Dongyue families pool their forces in Heavenly Phoenix City, where they endure a large-scale siege by Titled Douluo and Limit Douluo opponents. 25 27 32

Dongyue reinforcements eventually restore the balance of power and force the coalition’s temporary withdrawal. The Li Family then focuses on recovery, formation upgrades, and rooting out internal informants who attempted to secure their own survival through surrender. 33 35

Divine Conflict and Rebirth

After Li Yunming ascends to godhood, the conflict escalates into a divine confrontation. Luo Wuya and Lin Jingshen initially compel the hostile gods to retreat under the old divine noninterference agreement, but the war later resumes. 42 43

Li Yunming, Luo Wuya, Lin Jingshen, and Dongyue Xian ultimately kill Du Yunhe, Xie Miaojiang, and Qiu Qianchen. With more than half of the enemy factions’ top forces destroyed, the Li and Dongyue families begin restoration and dispatch forces to purge the remaining Qiu Family and Five Poisons Valley holdings. 49 50
