Qian fought through Iwagakure’s attacks, built up his strength and chakra, and joined Konoha’s defense of Fengliu Town Outpost. The arc left him and his squad exposed inside the Rock Ninja command headquarters as the enemy searched for them.

• Qian held off Rock Ninja while Nara Sishui’s encirclement defeated their force, then learned that Iwagakure had surprised several Leaf strongholds.
• Qian perfected Genjutsu: Sharingan and developed new sword techniques before withdrawing with the Leaf unit toward Fengliu Town Outpost.
• Qian fought Gari and other Rock Ninja during the retreat, then reached Fengliu Town and began taking missions to gather chakra and strengthen his body.
• Qian’s squad encountered Ghost and his controlled Ghost Corpses, and Qian killed Ghost before learning that his Physical Constitution had increased to 13.
• Roshi fired a Tailed Beast Bomb at Fengliu Town, but Namikaze Minato redirected it, and Qian attacked Rock Ninja forces on the western mountain to absorb chakra.
• Qian advanced Mystical Palm Technique during the fighting as Konoha and Iwagakure suffered heavy losses without either side gaining the advantage.
• Qian accepted a mission to infiltrate the Iwagakure camp with Hyuga Hiaka and two Special Jonin, using Minato’s marked kunai as a way to reunite with the strike team.
• Qian’s squad entered the underground command headquarters disguised as Rock Ninja, but a Hidden Rock chunin found the entrance guards’ bodies and raised the alarm.

Qian led Konoha forces through battles against Iwagakure, helping defeat their jonin and contend with Roshi’s Four-Tails. After the fighting shifted to the outposts, Qian crushed a Rock Ninja assault and strengthened his body until he was ready to pursue the Mangekyō Sharingan.

• Qian killed Gari and several Hidden Rock jonin in the underground command post, then helped his allies eliminate their targets and escape with Namikaze Minato.
• Qian fought through enemy search squads to reunite with Minato, who teleported the survivors to Fengliu Town before leaving to reinforce the front.
• When the Rock Ninja attacked Qian’s outpost with Roshi, Qian disrupted their formation and fought Roshi until Minato and Gamabunta took over.
• Qian left Minato to face the transforming Four-Tails and organized the Leaf forces’ withdrawal, while Iwagakure eventually recovered Roshi at the cost of several capable ninja.
• Qian reinforced Xiaogu Village Outpost against the Rock Ninja plan to isolate Fengliu Town and led nearly one hundred Leaf reinforcements into the battle.
• Qian killed several Rock jonin and other prominent fighters, breaking the attackers’ morale until Kurokawa Ichiro ordered a retreat.
• Qian spent hours strengthening his body with the Mystical Palm Technique, raising his physical constitution to 14 and resolving to open the Mangekyō Sharingan.

Qian awakened his Mangekyō Sharingan, survived fierce battles against the Rock Ninja, and evacuated Xiaogu Village Outpost as Konoha withdrew. After being transferred to Main Camp, he learned of Danzo’s likely plans and began pursuing new techniques and the Kusanagi Sword.

• Qian awakened his Mangekyō Sharingan in secret, gaining the Black Sun pattern, Imperial Heaven, and Human Authority while discovering the strain they placed on his eyes and body.
• Qian defeated Rock Ninja forces at Xiaogu Village Outpost, killing Kurokawa Ichiro and other jōnin before ordering the outpost abandoned and later evacuating to Fengliu Town.
• Qian avoided approaching the rampaging Four-Tails, then escorted Hyuga Linghuo on reconnaissance and trained at Twin River Town, advancing Wind Blade, Rasengan, and Rasenshuriken.
• Qian received orders to return to Main Camp, where the Uchiha Elder told him that he and Uchiha Shisui would likely be sent to the Mist Battlefield, prompting Qian to suspect Danzo was targeting him.
• Qian learned that Takumi Village’s leader might be hiding in the Land of Artisans with a Kusanagi Sword, and asked the Uchiha Elder to report any confirmed movements.
• Qian began developing Water Style techniques through chakra training and shadow clones, then adjusted his daily training allocation to advance them.

Qian led Konoha’s force into a Mist Ninja ambush, where he killed several elite opponents, including Raiga Kurosuki and Biwa Juzo, before uncovering Danzo’s surveillance operation. He regrouped with Uchiha Shisui and the surviving Leaf ninja, then met Uchiha Yashiro’s arriving force as they continued toward their destination.

• Qian and Uchiha Shisui discussed Danzo’s surveillance of the Uchiha, then Qian led his division toward the southeastern coast while Root tracked the force.
• Mist Ninja, including the Seven Ninja Swordsmen, attacked the camp, and Qian killed numerous Special Jonin before fighting Kaguya Morinosuke.
• Qian used a Shadow Clone’s Wind Style: Rasenshuriken to kill Kaguya Morinosuke, then defeated the Mist Jonin Wasabi and Hayakawa Kaede while replenishing his chakra.
• Qian fought Biwa Juzo with Shadow Clones and shattered the Kubikiribōchō with a Rasenshuriken, but Raiga Kurosuki killed the Leaf General Captain during the battle.
• Qian lured Biwa Juzo and Raiga Kurosuki into the forest, killed them, and escaped Raiga’s final Lightning Burial attack with Ame no Minaka.
• Qian discovered Root shinobi tracking him and killed them, then read Aburame Tatsuma’s memories to learn of Danzo’s orders and Orochimaru’s role in arranging the operation.
• Qian rejoined Uchiha Shisui after the Mist Ninja retreated, and they treated the twenty-eight surviving Leaf ninja before leading them onward.
• Qian met Uchiha Yashiro’s group, explained that they had repelled a Mist Ninja ambush, and led them toward Uchiha Shisui’s team.
