"Father!"
Algrim's pale gray pupils widened as he looked at Alexei, who lay on the ground, dead or alive unknown.
"You're the daughter that mortal spoke of!"
"Bingo, correct." Natasha's eyes were icy, yet she gave a sweet smile as she slowly formed a sword-finger gesture with her hand.
Then her red lips parted, uttering words that sent chills down the spine.
"As a reward for getting it right, I'll have you torn limb from limb."
Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!
In an instant, four thunderous tremors shook the ground.
Four Golden Armored Warriors suddenly descended around Algrim.
Together with the one behind Natasha, five Golden Armored Warriors surrounded Algrim completely.
"Five!?"
Shock, confusion, doubt, terror, and countless other emotions flashed across Algrim's face.
Just one Golden Armored Warrior had sent him flying with a single punch. It possessed strength equal to, or perhaps even greater than, his own.
And now five had appeared out of nowhere!
A Cursed Warrior with his strength was rare even among the Dark Elves. Only Malekith, after being transformed, was as powerful as he was.
Yet this mortal girl had merely made a strange gesture and summoned five of them?
"Impossible!"
Algrim roared, "It must be some trick of the eye!"
"I'll use absolute strength to show you that the strong cannot be humiliated!"
Algrim bent into a half-crouch, his fists clenched before his chest. The muscles in his limbs suddenly swelled, and black-red veins bulged across his body.
The next second, he shot forward like an arrow, transforming into a black streak as he charged straight at Natasha and Clea.
Though he claimed the Golden Armored Warriors were merely illusions, he still avoided them as much as possible, intending to capture the leader first!
After all, whether it was a summoner or a mage, the body itself had to be the weakness!
"Hmph. Meaningless resistance."
Natasha looked disdainful and did not move from where she stood.
Instead, Algrim was easily intercepted by four Golden Armored Warriors halfway there. His limbs were seized and held suspended in the air.
"Lord Algrim!"
This time, it was the Dark Elves' turn to panic.
If Algrim fell, they would be next!
The three royal guards who had transformed into Cursed Warriors exchanged glances, abandoned the Asgardian soldiers, and charged toward Natasha.
Naturally, they were not doing it for Algrim. They were trying to buy Malekith time.
After all, once Algrim fell, they would not be able to hold out for long either. That would not help Malekith find the Aether.
"I'll deal with those three. Finish this one quickly and come help me."
Seeing three slightly weaker Cursed Warriors charging over, Clea stepped forward to meet them without hesitation.
She used telekinesis to control the surrounding broken walls and rubble, hurling them continuously at the three Cursed Warriors.
The three Cursed Warriors were immediately held back and could only rely on their powerful bodies and regenerative abilities to keep smashing apart the flying debris.
Thor, who had been sent flying earlier, finally returned at that moment, burning with fury.
The flickering lightning around his hammer gathered the dark clouds across the sky.
Yet his anger came quickly and faded just as quickly. More importantly, the scene before him left him standing there with his hammer in hand, completely at a loss.
The Dark Elves, who had clearly held the upper hand moments ago, were now almost completely routed.
Even Algrim, who had been so arrogantly domineering just now, was held helplessly by four huge brutes, like a newlywed wife about to be abused.
"Can someone tell me what exactly happened!"
Seeing Thor's dumbfounded expression, Coulson, who had been hiding in the distance, finally found an opportunity to approach.
Dodging the sweeping blasts of lasers and energy, he hurried over to Thor's side.
"Those are Earth's superheroes, S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Avengers. They specialize in dealing with evil invading aliens. Of course, that doesn't include kind people like you."
As Coulson shamelessly talked up S.H.I.E.L.D., he handed over a business card.
"I'm Agent Coulson of S.H.I.E.L.D. This should be resolved soon. Our director hopes to meet with you afterward."
"Earth's superheroes, S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Avengers!"
Thor took the business card, astonishment appearing on his face as he bluntly complained.
"Midgard has changed so much. The last time I came here, you were still using spears, short blades, wooden bows, and arrows."
"Now you not only have such powerful aircraft, but warriors comparable to Cursed Warriors have appeared as well. It's unbelievable!"
Thor had arrived with a strong sense of superiority, but starting from Alexei's appearance, that feeling had steadily diminished.
Until Natasha summoned a group of Golden Armored Warriors to capture Algrim, while Clea fought three Cursed Warriors alone.
It made him feel like complete trash!
Still, at least he had Loki, an even bigger loser of a younger brother, beneath him... Wait, where was Loki?
Thor finally noticed the problem. Ever since he had been knocked around at the beginning, Loki had completely vanished!
Unable to bother with Coulson any longer, he shouted in every direction, "Loki! Loki, where are you!!!"
Leaving aside Thor, who had begun performing his missing-brother routine.
On the other side, Yelena had finally reunited with the sister she had been longing to see.
Perhaps because they had not seen each other for too long, their way of expressing affection was somewhat unusual.
Yelena opened with an emotional armbar, while Natasha showed no mercy with a beloved-friend shoulder throw.
After a series of silent exchanges, the two finally embraced.
Yelena also spoke the words she had long wanted to say. "Sister, thank you for rescuing me."
Natasha smiled warmly and vigorously ruffled Yelena's hair. "The little brat knows how to say thank you now? You used to do nothing but cry and tattle."
Their tender moment was particularly out of place on this battlefield filled with fire and death. At any rate, Clea could no longer stand watching from the side.
She narrowly dodged a Cursed Warrior's iron fist, bent backward to avoid the second one's kick, then pushed off the ground with both hands and sprang away from the third one's huge slap before turning her head and roaring furiously.
"Natasha, I'm carrying those two thousand copies right now and haven't handed them in! If you keep dragging this out, don't blame me for being ruthless!"
"What!" The warmth vanished from Natasha's face in an instant. She turned toward Clea, her expression ugly.
"We agreed we were sisters, but Clea, you actually distrust me this much!"
Clea let out a crisp laugh. "I'm not like your two idiot senior brothers. Besides, it's precisely because I trust you that I kept a backup plan, so I wouldn't do all that work for nothing!"
Yelena was utterly confused by their conversation. "Sis, what are those two thousand copies she mentioned?"
"Children shouldn't pry into adult business!"
With a sour expression, Natasha pointed at Alexei on the ground. "Take him away. Once I've dealt with everything here, I'll tell you all something."
After giving her instructions, Natasha immediately issued an order to the Golden Armored Warriors.
In an instant, Algrim, who was being held up, felt a powerful force acting upon his limbs.
As though snapping crab claws, his arms and legs were violently torn off. Black-red filthy blood erupted like a fountain.
Then a Golden Armored Warrior with free hands seized his head, while the others fixed his body in place.
After a piercing tearing sound, a head still attached to its spine was thrown onto the ground.
Algrim, transformed into a Cursed Warrior, was completely dead.
"Go. Leave none of those three black monsters or those masked, pointy-eared creatures over there alive."
The cold command rang out again. The Golden Armored Warriors vanished from where they stood and charged toward the Cursed Warriors and Dark Elves.
A one-sided, bloody slaughter and miserable screams immediately echoed across the battlefield.
The sight left the Asgardian soldiers, Thor included, utterly stunned.
One punch turned someone into meat paste. A grip crushed bodies like stuffed buns, squeezing out all their organs. A stomp sent eyeballs bursting out...
It was too bloody, too brutal!
As Thor stood there with a grim expression, Loki somehow slipped behind him.
With an urgent look, he whispered, "Thor, quickly have Heimdall bring down the Rainbow Bridge. Our mission is complete!"
"Who is it?" The voice behind him made Thor jump.
He turned and saw Loki, whose eyes had turned yellowish-brown, while ominous dark energy poured from his body.
"Loki! What happened to you?"
"Stop talking! I can barely suppress it anymore. Hurry and have Heimdall bring down the Rainbow Bridge!"
But just as Loki finished speaking, a furious roar from the distance made his expression turn incomparably grim.
The aura around him began fluctuating violently and unstably.
"You idiot, hurry up. He's already out!"
