Obviously, this man was none other than the renowned director of S.H.I.E.L.D., Nick Fury.

"Director, those two monsters are about to destroy Washington, D.C."

Nick Fury felt helpless when he heard that. There was nothing he could do to stop the two of them.

"Have Phil Coulson transmit footage of their battle to my office."

"Yes, Director."

If Chen Xu had heard the name Phil Coulson, he would have known that he was the agent known as Captain America's number one fan, the one who would eventually die at Loki's hands.

A moment later, Phil Coulson used a satellite to project footage of the battle directly to Nick Fury.

Nick Fury switched on the screen built into his desk and watched the two monsters fighting. The scene was already a complete mess, with buildings constantly being knocked down by the pair. If this continued, Washington, D.C. would truly be finished.

After watching it, veins bulged on Nick Fury's forehead.

"Fuck! What the hell am I supposed to do? How am I supposed to stop them?"

As Nick Fury watched everything unfold, he thought of the mission his superiors had assigned him. Stopping or eliminating them would do, but he had always lacked the ability to do either. In truth, his superiors had no way to stop or eliminate them either, so they had dumped this mess directly on Nick Fury and told him to deal with the two huge green monsters.

Nick Fury naturally understood what those so-called superiors were thinking. They dumped every mess onto their subordinates, but there was nothing he could do about it.

Chen Xu also arrived at the battle site, but he did not reveal himself right away. Instead, he hid in a different dimension to observe first.

"Damn, so this is the Hulk, the so-called strongest Avenger. Then the one fighting him must be Abomination."

Chen Xu watched Hulk and Abomination trade punch after punch, apparently having quite a good time. He almost could not bear to interrupt them. The agents a thousand meters away from the battle were naturally detected by Chen Xu's mental power as well. He knew they were probably the legendary people from S.H.I.E.L.D. Under these circumstances, ordinary troops would have withdrawn long ago. Abomination saw Chen Xu as well and said disdainfully, "Where did this little bug come from? Watch out, or I'll slap you to death."

The instant Chen Xu heard that, his anger flared. He had already been extremely annoyed that their fighting had disturbed him while he was reading, and now Abomination was speaking to him like that. His rage immediately surged.

"Bug? I'll beat you until you call me daddy. Don't you dare kneel and beg for mercy."

Thinking of all the moves he had seen in movies where Hulk got brutally beaten, Chen Xu suddenly had a new idea. He put on God's Hand, and lightning instantly gathered in his palm, its power continuously increasing far beyond one hundred thousand volts. It condensed into a freely extendable purple lightning whip, radiating a terrifying aura, and lashed directly across Abomination's face. Abomination was sent flying, crashing down a hundred meters away and smashing a huge crater into the ground. His face was scorched black, his entire body twitching nonstop as he nearly got electrocuted to death.

The S.H.I.E.L.D. agents witnessed this through drones, and the footage was relayed by backup satellite to Nick Fury's screen. Everyone froze. They all had the same thought: Who the fuck was this ruthless guy?

Nick Fury gave an order on the spot.

"Find out who he is, now!"

Chen Xu did not stop there. He lashed out again, driving Abomination another meter into the ground and making him convulse even more violently. With another lash, Chen Xu froze Hulk beside him with Ice-Freezing Magic, leaving him standing there completely unable to move.

Gradually, the smell of burnt barbecue spread through the area. Chen Xu dismissed the lightning whip and condensed a red energy sphere. Lightning created by the compressed energy occasionally struck the surrounding ground, pulverizing it. An aura of destruction emanated from the energy sphere. Chen Xu threw it at Abomination, giving him an intimate encounter with it. The energy sphere directly enveloped Abomination. Using Chaos Magic's ability to annihilate all things, Chen Xu made Abomination disappear as though he had never existed, leaving not even ashes behind. Ripples spread through the space around Chen Xu as he entered the different dimension, opened a portal, and returned to the New York Sanctum.

The agents and Nick Fury watched it all. Chen Xu had suddenly appeared, eliminated Abomination, and then suddenly vanished. Everything had happened too quickly for them to react. One second, they had been worried about stopping the battle; the next, it was over.

At that moment, they likely had only one thought: Who was this person? Where had he come from? Or was he an alien?

Afterward, the United Nations, the American Consulate Council, and other nations were all shocked. They investigated one question: Who was he? A person with immense power but no information whatsoever made the entire world feel threatened. Was he alone? Or was there a group, an unknown race? That would be too terrifying.

Faced with an unknown person whose allegiance was unclear and who possessed the power to dominate the world, every country feared him and could not allow such an existence.

The American Consulate Council was even more alarmed. This had happened in Washington, D.C., in the United States, which meant that this person, or this organization, might be somewhere within the United States. That made those politicians deeply uneasy.
