Mind Stone

As the vessel of the Mind Stone and one of the Infinity Stones, the Mind Scepter was undoubtedly powerful when it came to controlling people's minds. Hawkeye and Dr. Wade were proof enough of that.

Loki sneered as he spoke Chen Xu's name.

"Chen Xu, just wait! I will soon repay the humiliation you brought me a hundredfold. I'll make you pay for what you've done and make you understand that I, Loki, am a god—a god who cannot be offended."

"I'll make you understand the consequences of offending a god."

As he spoke, Loki crushed the wineglass in his hand.

Then Hawkeye led people to kill several officers from The U.S. consulate. They disrupted a high-ranking official's birthday banquet, robbed his safe, and took his priceless jewelry. Word spread that all of it had been done by a young man named Chen Xu.

With certain people pulling strings, all of New York learned about it in an instant. Naturally, this was Loki and the others' handiwork. They had even considered killing the President of The U.S. and pinning it on Chen Xu, but they did not know where the president was, so they abandoned that plan and chose a more realistic and effective method.

Now, Loki and the others had achieved the result they wanted. Everyone in New York knew the name Chen Xu.

A massive helicarrier hovered slowly in the sky. It currently belonged to S.H.I.E.L.D. In an office, a bald, one-eyed Black man watched everything on the screen before him, including footage of Chen Xu supposedly robbing that wealthy man.

Nick Fury wore a helpless expression.

"Can anyone tell me what the hell happened? What the fuck is going on here?"

Agent Phil Coulson, standing nearby, said, "I've dealt with him before. We all know what kind of person he is. He couldn't have done this. He has never been short of money. He's an extremely rational man, far from ordinary. There's no way he would do something like this. Someone is obviously trying to frame him, but we don't know their purpose."

"That high-ranking official has ordered us to bring him in and recover all his jewelry."

"What the fuck? Is this a joke?"

Nick Fury instantly felt a headache coming on.

"Forget it. I'd better tell him about this directly and let him handle it himself."

Chen Xu, who was in the New York Sanctum, naturally learned of this as well. The moment he heard about it, he knew who was responsible. He was so furious that his teeth trembled. After receiving the secret dossier sent by S.H.I.E.L.D., he immediately used magic to rush toward Loki.

"Master, we are a little short on titanium. We still lack one quarter of it. Otherwise, this space portal will be extremely unstable and could collapse at any time."

"That remaining quarter of the titanium is in Germany. We need to get it quickly."

Loki directly used magic around his body and flew toward Germany.

Along the way, as in the original course of events, he encountered Black Widow and Captain America's interception. Black Widow directly attacked Loki with a fighter jet, but Loki's magical shield blocked everything. Their weapons had no effect whatsoever.

"There's no other way. They're practically legendary beings. Physical attacks like this can hardly affect them."

"Open the hatch. I'll deal with him."

Steve, who had awakened from his slumber, had been adapting to this world. He was deeply shocked by how much it had changed. Those people who had once existed only in legends now stood before him. It was hard to believe, and they had even become enemies who wanted to conquer Earth. The level of warfare had far surpassed anything from his era.

Every war now carried the danger of destroying Earth at any moment. Steve had never expected that. He had thought the world had become peaceful, but the crises that came with that peace were even more terrifying—hundreds of times worse than before. He felt utterly overwhelmed and powerless.

Steve hurled his Vibranium shield at Loki, but Loki knocked it down with the Mind Scepter. It had no effect at all.

"Foolish mortal, do you think that will work? I am a god. I am invincible."

"I admit that you are indeed a being from legend, but you are absolutely not a god. A god would never be like you."

The moment Loki heard that, his rage flared.

"First Chen Xu, and now you. I'll show you the consequences of blaspheming a god."

He immediately fired an even more powerful beam of blue energy from the Mind Scepter at Steve. At that moment, Steve thought he was finished.

The next second, Chen Xu arrived just in time and conjured a magical shield to block the attack.

"Hey, Loki. Look at the mess you've made."

Steve stared at the person before him in confusion, but that was not important. They had a common enemy, which meant Chen Xu might be an ally. Since Chen Xu had also saved him, Steve became even more certain of it.

"You, Chen Xu, what do you want?"

"What do I want? You're really good at playing dumb!"

"Don't you know what you've done?"

As he spoke, Chen Xu did not intend to use magic this time. Instead, he used his own mental power, strong enough to pierce the multiverse, to pin Loki in place and render him completely unable to move.

Loki instantly felt an immense force pressing down on him, as though he had sunk into a wall of mud and could not move.

Loki immediately realized something was wrong. He knew Chen Xu was responsible. Seeing Chen Xu stride toward him with fury blazing in his eyes, Loki knew he was done for.

The next second, thunder roared and lightning flashed. Loki knew his savior had arrived. A bolt of lightning struck directly between Chen Xu and Loki.

"Thor, are you going to be my enemy?" Thor appeared before everyone, descending from the sky with such force that he shattered the ground beneath his feet.

"No, of course not. I only hope you can spare his miserable life and let me bring him back to Asgard for judgment. That way, he will not continue harming others."

"What? Thor, you actually called me a dog? I am the prince of Asgard. I am a god."

"You're not even saving me—you're handing me over to Chen Xu. You're sending me to my death! Who was it that knocked me into outer space last time? I barely survived, and now you want to kill me again."

When Loki saw that Thor was actually handing him over to Chen Xu, he knew his fate would be terrible, so he began appealing to Thor's emotions.

"Sage Chen, I hope you will spare his life for my father's sake. He is, after all, the prince of Asgard and my younger brother. I cannot truly let you kill him."

"Of course, you can torture him however you like, or beat him up. You can beat him until he cannot take care of himself. That is fine too."

Loki was completely stunned.

"Bastard, Thor, what the fuck are you talking about? How is that any different from killing me? Are you trying to kill me again?"

Steve spoke up as well.

"No. The crimes he committed on Earth should be judged under Earth's laws."

Thor naturally disagreed.

"No. He is from Asgard. He should be judged by Asgard."
