Washington, Triskelion, Director's Office.

Nick Fury, the man known in the industry as the "King of Agents," was staring at a photograph.

"Was it you?"

Nick murmured under his breath, his memories returning to the war-torn days of World War II. Back then, he had fallen into a Hydra ambush and thought he was doomed, only to be saved by a mysterious man who suddenly appeared.

Though it could not exactly be called a rescue.

Nick clearly remembered an energy gate appearing on the battlefield, causing everyone to instinctively stop and raise their guard, believing it was enemy reinforcements.

Later, someone's gun accidentally went off, and everyone else opened fire as well.

Their target was the young man who had pushed open that mysterious energy gate.

Then, something happened that shattered his worldview.

The bullets, completely invisible to the naked eye, stopped around the mysterious young man as though an unseen force field were protecting him.

Then, a stabbing pain erupted in their minds, nearly knocking everyone present unconscious.

Except him.

Perhaps he had been lucky, or perhaps there had been some other reason. Although he had lost control of his body as well, he had happened to see the young man's face clearly.

He truly had been young, even younger than Nick had been at the time.

He watched the young man close the gate before Captain America, who had rushed over, rescued him.

They won that battle.

The entire war also entered a new phase because of it.

Knock, knock, knock...

A knock sounded at the office door, pulling Nick from his thoughts. "Come in."

"Director."

The one knocking was Coulson. He had just seen Zhang Yang off... no, that was not quite right, because Zhang Yang had left on his own.

"As for Zhang Yang..."

Nick set down the photograph in his hand. "What do you think of him?"

"If we disregard his identity."

Coulson thought for a moment before saying, "He's an ordinary person. He has some schemes, but he's too immature. Anyone can see through him at a glance."

"Too immature?"

Nick pondered for a while, then nodded to Coulson. "I understand. Go handle your work."

"Yes, Director."

Coulson took his leave, leaving Nick to light a cigarette. His entire face was shrouded in smoke.

"Immature..."

Kamar-Taj, Zhang Yang's Sanctum.

Zhang Yang looked at the two nearly extinguished points of light within the Dimension Heart and calculated the time.

The timeline just now had been roughly sixty-five years ago. The Spacetime Gate had lasted around ten seconds, and the Spacetime Force was nearly depleted.

There was too little data, so experiments involving Spacetime Force could only stop here for now. If he wanted to continue, he would need to replenish it first.

That part was simple enough. He could draw both kinds of power from the dimensional spaces upon which he had left marks, though it would take some time.

However, time was what he lacked least now.

One month later, Kamar-Taj.

Zhang Yang's Sanctum welcomed long-absent visitors—John Constantine and Lucifer Morningstar.

"Mentors, it's been a long time."

Looking at the two Special Class mentors, whose appearances had barely changed, Zhang Yang spoke with some emotion. "You're still so... energetic."

Looking at Zhang Yang's young face, Constantine's tone was also filled with emotion. "Who would have thought that a transfer student from back then would rise to this position... It's truly unbelievable."

Lucifer was equally astonished. "I never imagined that old woman, The Ancient One, would pass this position on to you. I thought she would give it to Kaecilius or Mordo."

"You've met Master The Ancient One, haven't you?"

One look at the two of them told Zhang Yang that they had returned to Kamar-Taj because they had something to deal with, but The Ancient One could not help them, so they had come to him.

That made sense. In The Ancient One's current state, she was practically half-dead and had begun focusing on recuperation. How could she help them?

"We have."

Constantine and Lucifer exchanged a glance. Constantine said, "But Master The Ancient One said she currently has no way to help us."

Zhang Yang poured each of them a cup of tea. "Tell me about it."

"Let me show you a news report first."

Constantine took out his phone and played a news clip.

"Today, several thousand children have fallen into comas, and the cause has yet to be determined..."

The report was brief and contained little information, leaving Zhang Yang somewhat puzzled.

"You know... Dormammu, right?"

Constantine put away his phone, his voice grave. "You even encountered him before."

"Yes."

Zhang Yang nodded. He did not understand what this news report had to do with Dormammu.

Wasn't that guy staying comfortably in his own lair?

Although he had always wanted to invade the human world, the barrier formed by the Three Sanctums had stopped him countless times. Even the hidden passage he had left behind had been sealed by the Three Sanctums and turned into a place for testing apprentices.

"In dreams, children's pure hearts can pass through the infinite multiverse. That's also why children sometimes dream."

Lucifer explained, "Recently, we heard a rumor in Hell that Dormammu wants to use this method to descend upon the human world."

Constantine added, "Once he establishes the passage, he'll bypass the barrier and descend directly into the human world."

"So you suspect Dormammu is behind these children falling into comas?"

Zhang Yang nodded thoughtfully. "But... how is he doing this from the Dark Space?"

Constantine and Lucifer spoke at the same time. "Kaecilius! He must be the one behind it."

"Him..."

Kaecilius had also been Zhang Yang's first suspect, but how had that guy caused so many children to fall into comas simultaneously?

"We'll investigate this matter."

Constantine and Lucifer exchanged another glance. "But if Dormammu makes a move, we hope Kamar-Taj will be prepared."

"No problem."

Zhang Yang nodded, his tone filled with confidence.

In the past, if he wanted to defeat a fully realized Dimensional Demon God, he would have needed extensive preparations and perhaps even needed to prepare for sacrifice.

But now, with the Dimension Heart, he was invincible for five minutes!

Even if Cyttorak and the five cosmic gods all came at once, Zhang Yang was confident he could defeat them!

"Then we'll be going."

Constantine sighed in relief. He and Lucifer stood up and bid Zhang Yang farewell. "We'll investigate first, then send you the results."

"Alright."

Zhang Yang nodded and watched the two leave.
