Background / History

Xu Que is a transmigrator who arrived on the Sun Moon Continent over twenty years before the Golden Ranking's appearance. Born while the region was still the Sun Moon Kingdom, he was the first son of its king; the Xu Clan's inherited martial soul was the Sun. Instead, Xu Que awakened a beneficial mutation of that martial soul: the Purple Radiant Heaven-Annihilating Dragon King. 3 50

Using his Twin Martial Souls, Xu Que spent more than ten years unifying the Sun Moon Continent. He subsequently founded the Sun Moon Empire and became its emperor. 3 50

After consolidating the continent, he turned outward. He dispatched nine armies against Sea God Island, intending to seize it before pursuing the Ice Fire Yin Yang Well. Sea God Island was later confirmed to have fallen under his control, while Douluo Continent became his next intended conquest. 3 51

Personality

Xu Que is highly ambitious and treats territorial conquest as a practical means to greater cultivation. Because the Imperial Jade Seal converts national fortune into cultivation resources, he seeks to expand the empire in order to reach Level 99 and godhood more quickly. 51 52

He is decisive in both military and personal matters. He ordered Chen Qingzhi to establish the ten-thousand-man Great Snow Dragon Riders for a future campaign against Douluo Continent, and immediately selected the Zhu Xian Sword from three Super Divine Artifacts. 37 53

Xu Que prefers capable subordinates but responds ruthlessly to refusal. When Sea God Island's guardians would not submit, he gave Bo Saixi and the others a final ten-second ultimatum. 60

Super Divine Artifact Selection

As his ranking reward, Xu Que receives one opportunity to choose among three Super Divine Artifacts. He chooses the Zhu Xian Sword without hesitation. 52 53

Expansion into Douluo Continent

Xu Que's conquest of Sea God Island is the first step in his campaign beyond the Sun Moon Continent. He intends to conquer Douluo Continent, increase the national fortune available to him, and use that growth to pursue godhood. 51 52

He later decides to preserve Spirit Hall for its comparatively greater military value against a future invading world, while planning to recruit or eliminate Douluo Continent's soul beasts based on whether they submit. 93
