The Golden Ranking first divides the Heaven's Pride Ranking into separate Douluo Continent and Sun-Moon Continent Prodigy Rankings. Each ranking has ten positions and admits only human Soul Masters under fifty; ranked individuals receive an introduction and an opportunity 1.

Consequences
- The ranking exposed Xiao Wu's soul-beast identity, her motive to avenge her mother against Bibi Dong, and her connection to the Shrek Seven Monsters 10.
- It revealed that Qian Renxue killed Xue Qinghe and replaced him as the Heaven Dou crown prince as part of Bibi Dong's plan to unify the continent under a Spirit Empire 22.
- Opportunities awarded through the ranking became major political targets. Bibi Dong attempted to seize the ranked Shrek students and their rewards, while the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect also moved to obtain Xiao Wu's assets 24 23.
- The Sun Moon Continent won the Prodigy Ranking comparison and received broad rewards, including increased cultivation for soul beasts, Soul Master advancement, improved innate soul power for some ordinary people, and blessed lands 53.

Intercontinental Conflict
Xu Que unified Sun Moon Continent before turning his ambitions toward Douluo Continent. He dispatched nine armies to seize Sea God Island, intending to use the island as a staging point for his eventual campaign across the sea 3.
After Sea God Island fell, Xu Que openly identified Douluo Continent as his next target. His aim is to annex its territory, expand the national fortune available to his Imperial Jade Seal, and accelerate his advancement toward Level 99 and godhood 51 52.
The prospect of invasion causes widespread alarm among Douluo Continent's powers. Some inhabitants and leaders consider surrender unavoidable because of the Sun Moon Empire's ranked Soul Masters, soul beasts, and accumulated opportunities 52 53.
Otherworld Gate
Xu Que considers the conquest of Douluo Continent strategically necessary beyond personal ambition. An Otherworld Gate connected to another world is expected to open far earlier than anticipated, bringing a war that will threaten both continents. He intends to unite Douluo Continent and Sun Moon Continent before that invasion begins 88.
