Achieving Dual Godhood

"Hmm?" Qin Li frowned.

The god's heart nearly leaped out of his chest.

He had no desire to face what had just happened again. It was terrifying.

He had cultivated his Divine Power with great difficulty. If it was simply absorbed for no reason, he would weep himself to death.

"The Pride God? Why would he attack me? I've never made an enemy of him."

Qin Li could not understand it. She had no connection to him, let alone a grudge. Why target her?

"I don't know. I was only following orders."

"You mean you're no use to me anymore?"

Qin Li studied the god thoughtfully.

"No, no! I can still be useful! Please don't kill me."

The Deity hurried to beg Qin Li for mercy.

"But I need someone useful to me, and right now, you don't seem to be."

Qin Li slowly extended her hand, aiming the mouth of the Eastern Emperor Bell at the Deity.

"I—I can still help."

The Deity blurted it out.

When he saw the Eastern Emperor Bell drawing closer and felt its pull growing stronger, he hurried on:

"I know other deities want you dead too. I know where they are."

"Oh?"

"Other gods? Didn't you just say you knew nothing?"

Qin Li gave the Deity a meaningful look. Without a moment's hesitation, the Eastern Emperor Bell clapped down over his head.

"Aah!"

The Deity screamed in agony. "Why? I told you everything!"

"This is your punishment for hiding something important."

Only after a dozen or so breaths did Qin Li release him.

"Remember, if I find out you're hiding anything else, you'll die next time."

Qin Li's voice was cold.

"Yes, yes. I understand."

The Deity answered with a bitter smile, bitterly regretting his choice.

Why did I come here? Wasn't it enough to enjoy myself in the Divine Realm? I had to come to Douluo Continent and ask for trouble. Now my life is in someone else's hands.

What is with this person? She defies all reason.

"If you understand, tell me everything. Where are the other gods?

I'm sure you'd like to see them receive the same treatment."

Qin Li's words were like a demon's whisper, and the Deity's spirits lifted.

That's right. My fellow deities should have a taste of what I've suffered.

And if enough of us gather, perhaps we can defeat her together.

Then my mission will be complete, and I can return to the Divine Realm for a reward from Lord Pride God.

"My lady, please follow me. Several of them went deep into the Star Dou Forest. They're looking for the Dragon God to join them against you."

"By the way, you still haven't told me what kind of god you are."

"Me? In the Divine Realm, I'm the Five Defeats God!"

The Five Defeats God gave an awkward laugh.

"Five Defeats God? Never heard of you."

Qin Li thought carefully through the names of the gods her father had mentioned. The Five Defeats God was not among them, so he was another obscure minor god.

Her father had mentioned even the Pride God only in passing. Clearly, he thought nothing of him either.

"What are you going to the Star Dou Forest for?"

Qin Li asked as she and the Five Defeats God took flight.

"Long ago, the Dragon God had a major conflict with the Divine Realm. She's deeply dissatisfied with how things stand there now.

Lord Pride God plans to join forces with the Dragon God and take on the others in the Divine Realm, bringing it under his control.

And from what I've heard, the Dragon God has an old flame. He's an extremely powerful god. A dozen or so years ago, he stormed the Divine Realm and forced its five God Kings to make some sort of concession."

The Five Defeats God smiled obsequiously.

The scene shifted to the Star Dou Forest. The Five Defeats God and several other deities were kneeling on the ground.

They stared in terror at Gu Yuena, Qin Li, and the others before them.

"Dragon God, I meant no harm! It was all their idea. This beautiful young lady can explain—I'm the one who brought her here." The Five Defeats God begged in terror.

"Is that so? You had other ideas too, didn't you? Did you really think I was some innocent who knew nothing of the world?" Qin Li said with a cold laugh.

"No, no, I didn't."

The Five Defeats God tried to explain further, but Gu Yuena had no patience left for it.

She gave Qin Li a look, then stepped back with Di Tian and the others.

Qin Li swept a hand through the air. The enormous Eastern Emperor Bell appeared overhead and swept up everyone kneeling on the ground.

The deities' agonized wails continued for the time it took a stick of incense to burn. Then no sound came from within the Eastern Emperor Bell.

The next instant, a fierce aura erupted from Qin Li.

Gu Yuena waved a hand, containing the aura around Qin Li before it could spread.

"My liege, what's happening to Xiao Li?"

"She's grown stronger. Something must have happened with the Eastern Emperor Bell again, but it seems to be a good thing."

Gu Yuena answered with a faint smile.

Sure enough, after sensing the changes within her, Qin Li took out another Heaven-Given Spirit Ring and began absorbing it.

There was no surprise this time either: it was a golden Million-Year Spirit Ring.

Di Tian marveled, "Lord Qin Feng truly is incredible. A Million-Year Spirit Ring holds the power of a god, yet he can produce one as though it were nothing."

Bi Ji said, "Of course. How else could Lord Qin Feng have resolved matters between us?"

"I can't gauge Qin Feng's strength, but little Qin Li's Godhood has given her power on par with a God King's—perhaps even greater."

After all, the powers of time and space could never be weak.

"I did it! I did it! Aunt Gu Yuena, I did it! I did what Dad said I could!"

Qin Li bounded over to Gu Yuena.

By then, Qin Li was twenty years old.

"You've created your own Dual Godhood?"

"That's right! I have Dual Godhood now. I attained both godhoods through the Eastern Emperor Bell, and it's the weapon that represents them."

Qin Li answered happily.

Gu Yuena nodded in satisfaction, then asked, "What are the names of your two godhoods?"

"God of Space and God of Time!"

"Just as I thought. Your father really did plan everything."

"What do you mean?"

"Here. Your father left these with me. He said that once you achieved Dual Godhood, the Time Sword and Space Shears would be yours."

Qin Li stared blankly at the silver sword and golden shears in her hands. She had known it.

Her father had prepared something for her.

"Oh, and your father also said that once you achieved Dual Godhood, you should remember to make trouble for those people in the Divine Realm. They dared come after you, so he's already sealed the passage to the Divine Realm."
