Academies, hidden dealings, and a heavy workload

The teleportation formation flashed. Green looked around. The Academy had changed enormously: the defensive Formation overhead had expanded severalfold, the Main Campus had many more buildings, and a number of those buildings had been enlarged.

"Looks like the Academy really has gained a lot of Wizards. They've even added this many rooms to the residential district!"

Green sighed at the changes around him. The Academy felt almost dreamlike to him.

After all, as far as he was concerned, he had merely slept, and the whole world had been turned upside down.

Looks like I need to visit the Academy's Library and gather some new information. The Wizards of the Wizarding World must have produced fresh results from their experiments in the Forest Fairy World, where nothing held them back!

The thought filled Green with delight.

He did not linger. After confirming his details at the control console, he took Emily and the other two to find his Mentor.

Watching Green's party leave, the apprentice at the control console quietly took out a ring and said with great care, "Master Green is back!"

They reached the laboratory and informed the Mentor inside. Green had Emily and the other two wait outside, then went in.

The laboratory was different from before. Much of his Mentor's equipment had clearly been upgraded: most of it had been replaced with brand-new instruments, more complex and finely made than the old ones.

At the center of the laboratory, Mentor Lilian sat beside an experiment table, watching Green with a grave expression.

Green barely had to sense her to feel a Mental Power pressure far beyond anything she had exerted before!

"Mentor, I'm back! Congratulations on becoming a Second-Level Wizard!" Green said, lowering his head respectfully. There was a note of joy in his voice.
