With the faintest clash of gears, the bedroom door slowly opened.
Beyond it stretched a long corridor. It was unnaturally dark: the Fluorescent Stones set along its walls were wrapped in some unknown black substance and gave off no light at all.
Silver and red moonlight mingled as it slanted through the corridor windows onto the floor.
Green frowned at the sight. Moonlight filled almost the entire corridor. If he wanted to leave, avoiding its influence would be nearly impossible.
Recalling what had happened earlier, Green lowered his head and considered his experience.
After a while, Green found several relatively intact fragments of the wooden bed.
He gathered them and tapped them lightly. They answered with sharp, hollow knocks.
"Wizard's Hand!"
As Green cast the Sorcery, the wooden fragments he had gathered and placed before him floated into the air.
He sent them flying toward the corridor windows.

The fragments covered the windows, blocking the moonlight.
Expressionless, Green walked slowly to a window and held his hand behind the fragments shielding it from the moonlight.
He waited a long time. Nothing unusual happened, and that soul-tugging sensation never came.

A ripple of space brought a white robe into Green's hands, and he quickly draped it over himself.
Once the robe concealed him completely, Green released Wizard's Hand.

Taking a deep breath, Green slowly extended his robe-covered right hand into the moonlight.
One minute passed. Then two.
Time crept by. In the silent corridor, only Green's heartbeat thudded.
He waited patiently for more than ten minutes. When the moonlight still had no effect on him, a relieved smile finally crossed his face.
