The Passage Opens

Suddenly, Dollhouse's Wizard Tower activated again. Ripples of energy spread through the air, but this time, the tower did not trigger an energy tide. Instead, a huge black Formation appeared above it.

Beside the tower, the Wizards of Dollhouse raised their hands. Black smoke streamed from their palms, carrying a sinister chill, anger, and despair.

When the World Passage first opened, the Sorcery Wolman of the Soul School had cast with Despair Force inspired many Wizards.

For the major powers in particular, once an idea took root, they could quickly turn it into something real.

In that short time, Dollhouse had modified its Wizard Tower to harness the amplifying effect of Despair Force and increase the tower's might.

As Despair Force poured in, a rainbow-colored sphere of elemental energy appeared overhead. The black Formation flew straight into it and merged with the sphere.

In an instant, the sphere began to swell wildly. As it expanded, it gradually took human form, until a black giant more than seventy thousand meters tall stood above the Wizard Tower.

Cold, despairing, merciless, volatile Despair Force radiated from the black giant. The terrifying power made even mindless Synthetic Beasts tremble, though their reaction was purely instinctive.

"The potential of Despair Force is enormous. It can amplify power even at my level. More importantly, its energy source is easy to obtain, and it isn't especially hard to control. The only problem is how extreme it is. There may be some unknown flaw!"

With Despair Force bolstering him and Fourth-Level power his once more, Andros made a rough assessment in his mind.

Andros thought no further. He slowly extended a hand seven thousand meters long, and a sphere of energy landed directly on the World Passage Altar.
