The Plan, Take Two

Time kept slipping by!

At last, the final version of the invasion plan was approved.

A Wizard who looked no older than twenty or thirty stood before Green. He wore a black robe and black spectacles, and his face looked strikingly young.

He carried a Crystal Orb, but the formidable Mental Power emanating from him marked him as a Third-Level Wizard.

The young-looking Wizard in black respectfully offered the Crystal Orb to Green with both hands.

"This is the invasion plan we've refined, Master Green. Please see if there's anything else we need to add."

Green took the Crystal Orb, slowly released his Mental Power, and sent it inside.

Focusing all his attention on the plan, Green began to examine it closely.

He first skimmed its broad outline. As the Wizards had devised it, the plan had three steps.

The first was to steal intelligence. The other world and the Wizarding World were in a Spacetime Overlap. The Wizards could exploit this to send a small elite force directly into that world, gather intelligence quickly, then use it to draw up a more detailed invasion plan.

In the second step, Andros would open the World Passage. Two outcomes were possible.

In the first, the other side would interfere fiercely with the opening of the World Passage. The passage would open only partially, the higher powers on both sides would be locked in a contest of strength, and the fate of the entire world would be decided on the Low-Level Battlefield.

In the second, the other side would offer no interference and let the World Passage open. That would make things much simpler. Green could cast Sorcery through the passage a few more times. After a few more such attacks, the other world would run out of World Force, its World
