Seated on the Black Unicorn's back, Green blocked its awareness of him, then pressed his right hand against it. Instead of the hardness he had expected, its back felt extraordinarily soft.
"Oh! A gel-like structure that only hardens under impact?" Blue light flashed in Green's eyes. The Chip had finished scanning, and a model of the Black Unicorn appeared on its blue-and-white interface.
"Strength around 12, speed 7, constitution as high as 15. Its physical power alone meets Second Level standards. The structure of its skin is essentially no different from that black monster I caught earlier. Even if it's too large to melt into shadows, it should still be able to control them! No wonder the Moonshadow Race and the Shadow Race are reluctant to expand their territories. Facing a creature like this head-on, with their mediocre control of energy, they'd probably need two or three times the numbers to pull it off!"
Green studied the Black Unicorn's data, surprise flickering across his face. It was astonishing that such a powerful creature possessed only rudimentary intelligence.
"So this is a creature of the Primordial World! Its body grew too strong and stunted the growth of its soul!"
The Wizarding World had clear records of this phenomenon. When a world evolved, it tended to strengthen the bodies of its earliest creatures first, allowing them to survive the harsh environment of a primordial world.
As a result, life born in that primeval age was generally strong in body but weak in intellect.
Ordinarily, the emergence and continued expansion of intelligent life would eventually drive those primordial creatures to extinction.
The Twin-Moon World, however, had clearly not evolved to that point. Neither the Moonshadow Race nor the Shadow Race had grown powerful enough to develop the entire world.
"If the Twin-Moon World
