Silence fell over the walls of the Borderlands. Manla's respectful demeanor made every commander from the legions of the other provinces scrutinize Green with curious eyes. Some of those with higher standing, who knew certain details, had already shown respect the moment they saw him.
Even setting aside Green's own status, the strength he was displaying was absolutely on the same level as theirs.
Of course, they had to show a certain degree of respect to someone as powerful as themselves.
Green glanced around. On this central stretch of wall stood representatives from more than a dozen factions, their immense Soul Power freely radiating from their bodies to display their Third-Level strength.
"I need to collect some things for research," Green said with a smile.
Hearing him, Manla looked confused. What could there be on the front lines that would interest Green?
Seeing the confusion on Manla's face, Green pointed toward the battlefield in the Borderlands.
Manla followed the direction of his finger, and his expression immediately darkened. The thing Green was pointing at was none other than the enormous Giant Thousand-Eared Monster.
"Master Green, I've already allocated that monster. If you want to take it, I'm afraid..." Manla's voice trailed off, but his meaning was clear.
Green glanced at Manla with a faint smile and waved his hand, indicating that he would handle the rest.
He went over to the others. By now, whether they were commanders from the various legions or leaders of high-level hunter teams, every one of them wore an unfriendly expression and watched Green warily.
After all, it was obvious from Green's words that he intended to take their spoils. Anyone would have been unhappy about that.
And judging by Manla's respectful attitude, if Green truly insisted, they probably wouldn't have the right to refuse.
