After saying this, Thorne had just been about to explain things to Green when he seemed to think of something else.
Instead of starting his explanation right away, he pointed to himself, gesturing for Green to follow, then left the room and headed for the top floor of the Wizard Tower.
Watching Thorne lead the way, Green followed without hesitation.
Green followed Thorne down the corridor and up a spiral staircase. To travel faster, Thorne used Flight Sorcery, and Green followed suit.
The two of them used Flight Sorcery and quickly reached the very top of the spiral staircase.
At the end of the staircase, the door to a room stood tightly shut, faint waves of sorcery emanating from it.
Thorne landed in front of the door and pushed it open. The sorcery on the door completed some kind of verification the moment he touched it, then vanished.
"Come in, Green!" Thorne said as he entered the room without looking back.
Hearing him, Green, who had been waiting outside, went straight in.
As soon as he entered, Green began surveying the room on the top floor of the Wizard Tower.
The room wasn't very large. It had reddish-brown wooden floors, and several Fluorescent Stones were embedded in the ceiling. A huge redwood desk stood in the middle, with a large armchair beside it. A vase sat on the desk, holding several small white flowers that gave off a fresh, delicate scent.
The room had no special decorations, only a few oil paintings. Most were portraits of people, some young and some old, but all were clearly dressed in the Academy's Wizard robes.
Green recognized them at a glance: they were portraits of the successive deans of Celesternil Academy.
The deanship of Celesternil Academy was for life. Unless the previous dean
