Green quickly passed through the dim stairway and arrived at Instructor Lilian's room. Just as he raised his hand to knock, Instructor Lilian's voice came from inside.

"Come in, Green."

Green did not hesitate and pushed the door open. At a glance, Instructor Lilian was still sitting there meditating as before.

"You used the Extreme Meditation Method to break through to Second-Class Apprentice?" Lilian stared at Green and asked softly, her tone full of anticipation.

"Yes, Instructor Lilian. I found that the Extreme Meditation Method suits me very well, and it isn't much slower to cultivate than ordinary meditation methods!" Green made up an excuse and said it without changing expression.

Surprise was clearly visible in Lilian's eyes. But considering that Green had broken through to Second-Class Apprentice in such a short time, there was no better explanation.

"Green, since you have cultivated our school of meditation, that means you have joined my school. You will not need to choose a mentor after arriving at the academy. From today onward, I will be your mentor and guide your studies." Lilian smiled, her eyes full of warmth as she looked at Green.

"Yes, Mentor." Green was somewhat surprised by the sudden news.

"Now that you have become a Second-Class Apprentice, you can come into contact with more advanced knowledge. I specialize in Alchemy, Life Studies, and Life Modification, though I have also dabbled in the other elemental magics. Guiding you at the apprentice stage will not be a problem." A confident smile appeared on Lilian's face.

"Come here. Let us test your Elemental Affinity." After saying this, Lilian stood up, took out a crystal ball from behind her back, and placed it on the table.

Does the wizarding world have no other ideas? Why are all the tests done with crystal balls? Thinking of how every test he had encountered involved crystal balls, Green could not help mocking the wizarding world's aesthetic sense.

"Green, focus your mind and look at the crystal ball." Lilian's voice came to him, seemingly carrying a trace of guidance.

"Emerald green? Green, does this emerald green make you feel life or wood?"

Perhaps it was Green's imagination, but the voice sounded extremely excited.

"Life. It feels like life!"

"Look carefully. Are there any other colors?"

"No!"

"Mm, very good."

Snap! A sharp snap of fingers rang out, loud and deep, reverberating beside Green's ears like an ancient bell.

Green suddenly came back to his senses and looked around in confusion. "Mentor, what was that just now?"

"That was a test of your Elemental Affinity! Your Elemental Affinity is extremely pure. Like me, you have an affinity for the Life Element, along with a very small amount of Fire Element affinity." Lilian looked at Green even more kindly. His primary Elemental Affinity was the same Life type as hers, and he could completely inherit her legacy.

"Green, although wizards can use all elements, the more compatible an element is, the easier it is to use! Only by making use of your strengths can you walk farther on the path of a wizard! Since your Elemental Affinity is the same as mine, it would be best for you to study Life Sorcery, Life Modification, and Alchemy as well." Lilian explained patiently to Green.

"Mentor, according to what you have said, what should I study now?" Green lowered his head and humbly asked Lilian for guidance.

"Green, wizards are people who pursue Truth and value equivalent exchange. Knowledge is extremely precious in the wizarding world and will not be granted lightly. When you interact with other wizards in the future, you must remember this." Rather than answering Green's question, Lilian gave him a serious warning.

Pursuing Truth, equivalent exchange? Not bad! Green silently remarked, a faint smile appearing at the corners of his mouth. Though he thought this, his mouth did not stop. "Yes, Mentor. I will remember it well."

Hearing Green's answer, Lilian nodded in satisfaction.

"The academy has free public courses and a library. When the time comes, you can study knowledge related to Life Studies on your own. However, as my apprentice, you may learn one advanced course from me for free."

"At the academy, the three advanced courses I offer are Basic Alchemy, Body Modification, and Life Element Structure Lecture. You may choose one of them, and I will teach it to you for free." Lilian watched Green fall into thought without saying anything, calmly waiting for his decision.

"Mentor, what do you think of this? It is a potion I brewed." Rather than answering rashly, Green took a bottle of potion from his robe and offered it to her with both hands.

Lilian accepted Green's potion and examined it carefully. From time to time, she glanced at Green, looking at him as though he were a monster.

"Green, did you brew this potion yourself? Without using any sorcery to assist you?" Lilian grabbed Green's right hand and asked in an incredulous tone.

"Yes, Mentor Lilian. This is a Life Potion I brewed. I did not use any sorcery to assist me. I designed an experiment and relied on a Grand Knight's ability to control life force to create this potion." Green roughly explained how he had made it.

"Right! You are still a Grand Knight. I nearly forgot! Then it is not strange. With a Grand Knight's abilities as a safeguard, it is indeed possible to make such a potion!" The shock in Lilian's eyes faded somewhat, but her gaze at Green was still full of disbelief.

"Green, you have an exceptional talent for Alchemy. With the abilities of a Grand Knight, the other two courses only lack some theoretical knowledge for you, which you can learn after arriving at the academy. Alchemy is more about experience in brewing potions; it is an experiential discipline. I suggest that you choose Alchemy. I can provide your initial investment." Lilian could not help recommending it to Green.

Lilian knew very well that what she was saying already counted as leading an apprentice, something absolutely forbidden at White House Academy. But Green's talent in Alchemy was simply too outstanding. Without any instruction, he had used a pile of worthless materials to brew a potion whose effects were no worse than a Lesser Life Potion. Lilian simply could not tolerate Green studying other subjects and wasting his talent.

Listening to Lilian's assessment of his talent for Alchemy and the almost tempting conditions she offered at the end, Green had already made his decision.

"Mentor, then I choose Alchemy!" Green said to Lilian.

"This is Alchemy Fundamentals. Take it back and read it first. If there is anything you do not understand, come and ask me directly. If you want to brew basic potions, go directly to Bru. He will provide you with materials." Lilian took out a scroll from behind her and handed it to Green.

"This is a Runic Scroll. The knowledge is stored inside it. You only need to extend your spiritual power into it to read it," Lilian explained.

Green accepted the scroll and put it into his robe.

"I understand, Mentor. Then I will head back first!"

"Mm, go on!"

Green bowed to Lilian and left the room.
