Having familiarized himself with the dormitory area, Green circled the academy, fully collecting its map information before heading back to his own dormitory.
On his way back, the door to a neighboring dormitory opened, and a black-haired apprentice stepped out. "Hello! Are you a new student too? My name is Castian Thorne! You can call me Thorne."
"Hello, my name is Green. I'm a new student too!" Green replied. The other person was being friendly, so there was no need for him to put on a sour face.
Hearing Green's answer, Thorne smiled, looking as though he had expected it.
"Are you interested in joining our New Student Mutual Aid Society? We can study together and share our results." Once he learned that Green was also a new student, Thorne promptly extended an invitation.
"Not interested. And let me tell you something: knowledge is extremely precious in the wizarding world. The organization you joined won't last long." With that, Green decisively opened his room and walked inside, leaving Thorne standing there in bewilderment.
Once inside, Green gave no thought at all to Thorne's so-called mutual aid society. Wizards were like mathematics: the level of one's talent almost determined one's upper limit. No matter how many mutual aid societies there were, those who could not learn simply could not learn. The highly talented people who joined in the beginning would soon realize that the others offered them no help whatsoever and only drained their energy. Naturally, they would leave this so-called mutual aid society.
Over the next dozen or so days, Green lived like an ordinary student. Every day, he went to the teaching district to attend the various free basic classes offered by instructors. Then he went to the library and frantically recorded books: Basic Life Studies, Basic Anatomy, Basic Life Analysis, Basic Spell Model Construction, Flesh and Blood Analysis, The Origin and Utilization of Spiritual Power.
In just over ten days, all the public knowledge Green could access in the library had been completely stored in his mind. Receiving such an enormous amount of knowledge in so short a time left even Green, with the physical constitution of a Grand Knight, feeling dizzy and muddled. He had no energy to spare for anything else and could only keep organizing the knowledge in his mind, connecting its various branches together.
At the same time, Green came to understand just how fortunate he was. Students generally had to assist their instructors with various experiments, help organize experimental materials, or clean up. Put simply, they had to run errands for their instructors. Yet Lilian's favoritism toward Green meant that he did not need to do any of those things and could devote all his energy to studying.
Accommodation at the academy was free, and new students had no other expenses. For the time being, Green did not need to worry about Magic Stones. He maintained this lifestyle for more than three months.
Today is the last class on spell model principles, and pharmacology analysis is nearly finished as well. Once these two courses are complete, I can use my status as a Second-Class Apprentice to claim two mature spell templates from my instructor for free. Then I can officially begin brewing potions. Green sat in the first row of the classroom, silently watching the blackboard.
"Is that Monster Green? I heard he never rests, like a mechanical puppet!" A girl seated in the back of the classroom said to the bespectacled girl beside her.
"Not just that! I heard Green is taking dozens of courses at once and has received praise from every instructor. They say Instructor Wilder from genetics even approached Instructor Lilian and asked her to give Green to him." The bespectacled girl spoke with an expression of worship.
The seating arrangements in the classroom were clearly divided, making it obvious that the students came from different groups. Everyone whispered about Green. Fortunately, Green had experienced this sort of thing often enough that he had grown used to it.
"Sigh, if only I could receive my instructor's attention too!"
"You're dreaming. Green is exceptionally gifted. Instructor Lilian's school only accepts apprentices with First-Class Aptitude. For her to favor Green so much, his talent is probably even better than we imagine."
"I heard Green was already a Second-Class Apprentice before entering the academy. Once today's class ends, he should be going to collect his spell models, right?"
"Probably. Green's speed at mastering knowledge is simply absurd. There are still many parts of spell model principles that I don't understand, but Green can fully grasp them almost as soon as each class ends. I heard the spell model explanation classes he runs himself are incredibly popular. Whenever class begins on Sundays, even First-Class Apprentices attend Green's lessons. He earns Magic Stones hand over fist."
"The gap is so huge. We haven't even become Third-Class Apprentices yet, while Green has already started earning an income. Is this the world of geniuses?"
"..."
"Alright, stop talking. Instructor Karina is here." Someone said this, and the entire classroom fell silent at once. Everyone straightened up in their seats.
Green also turned his gaze toward the door. A beautiful woman dressed in a white robe slowly entered the classroom. She had long green hair and golden eyes, and held a black staff topped with a green gemstone.
"Welcome to my final class. I won't waste words. I'll directly explain the final step of spell models: solidification. As I have already said in previous classes, constructing a spell model requires weaving the corresponding spell model within one's spiritual power, then using the model to draw upon the corresponding elemental energy before releasing it, forming what is known as a spell. During this process, the perfection of the spell model's construction, elemental affinity, and control over the flow of spiritual power all affect the final effect of the spell."
At this point, Instructor Karina smiled faintly.
"Spell models constructed this way are almost all single-use. If a spell model had to be rebuilt during every battle, then it would be nearly impossible for a wizard to cast a high-level spell. Therefore, we must complete spell solidification so that we can cast spells whenever necessary."
"Spell solidification is actually quite simple, though it does carry risks. The spell models we previously discussed were basically constructed outside the body. If you wish to solidify a spell model, it is very simple: construct it within your spiritual space."
"The key points of spell model solidification are as follows. First, your spiritual power must meet the required standard; otherwise, forcibly constructing one will result in severe backlash. Second, choose a spell with a high affinity. Third..."
"In short, you must be extremely careful when constructing spell models. The number of permanent spells a person can construct is limited!"
Green, who had been sitting below listening to the lecture, smiled faintly at Instructor Karina's warning. Other people's spiritual spaces had limited capacity, but Green, who possessed the Chip, did not care about that at all. Even temporary construction was no problem for him. The number of spell models the Chip could store would not be an issue even if it reached millions or tens of millions.
"Alright, students. If you need it, you may choose to purchase my advanced spell model construction course." After saying that, Instructor Karina quickly left the classroom. Every wizard was busy, and few would remain after free classes to answer apprentices' questions.
