Bang! Smack! Thud!
All kinds of muffled sounds came from the wooden laboratory, along with the clanging of metal against the wooden floor. Before beginning his experiments on souls, Green still needed to make some modifications to the entire wooden laboratory.
Compared with the dangers of bloodline research, the dangers of soul research were more than a hundred times greater. The slightest lapse during an experiment could trigger a crisis and give rise to all kinds of bizarre phenomena.
On top of that, the souls of these Errant Lifeforms probably contained the power of Laws. One careless mistake could create something bizarre and life-threatening, so the safety of the entire laboratory had to be upgraded.
Blood Phosphorus Alloy, Moonlight-Resistant Metal, and a whole heap of Spirit-Resistant Metal—materials considered extremely precious by Wizards—were taken out of the Infinite Bracelet by Green and placed on the ground.
The enormous wooden laboratory seemed to come alive, growing twisted vines. The vines wrapped around the metal on the ground and carried it to the walls. The walls, too, began to twist and grow, slowly absorbing the Resistant Metal into themselves.
As the last piece of Resistant Metal on the laboratory ceiling was completely enveloped by the wooden laboratory, Green nodded in satisfaction. Then he looked at the silver disc on the workbench, which held the Green-Spotted Elephant under Seal.
"The environment's safety has reached the highest level. Now all I can do is leave it to luck. Let's see! Just what's different about the souls of Errant Lifeforms compared to ordinary life?"
Green's expression was solemn. He slowly held his palm above the silver disc. As his Soul Power surged, blue threads gradually emerged from his fingertips.
Under Green's control, five crystalline blue threads kept extending, their destination the silver disc on the workbench.
