As Green slowly made his way to the back of the laboratory, a gigantic tree came into view.
Behind the laboratory was a cleared patch of ground, where a gigantic tree grew. Its trunk stood a hundred meters tall, and its canopy stretched nearly a thousand meters wide.
The canopy, nearly a thousand meters in diameter, blotted out the sky and looked incredibly imposing.
Yet for all its size, it wasn't overly dense. There were always gaps that let sunlight through to the ground.
But that wasn't the point. Green slowly descended, landing gently on the ground.
He looked up. Beneath the canopy, countless vines dangled from the branches, each ending in a wooden cocoon! The cocoons hung at different heights, scattered in an orderly arrangement that greatly expanded the space's capacity.
Blue light flashed in Green's eyes. In an instant, he had counted the cocoons!
"About a hundred thousand. Judging by how the Errant Lifeforms kept gathering, it looks like they only began converging around the Plain on a large scale ten thousand years ago!"
After taking only a brief look at the data, Green had roughly deduced how the Plain had evolved.
"A hundred thousand—that's already close to what I collected back then. And since these Errant Lifeforms' souls and bodies have been preserved intact, this should take about five thousand years to process!"
Though he would be busy for the next five thousand years, Green's face was alight with excitement and anticipation. He didn't look the least bit tired.
He beckoned casually toward the wooden cocoons above. The vines seemed to receive an order and began growing rapidly. One of the cocoons hanging above Green came straight down in front of him.
Crack!!!
It split open like a pouch, and green liquid spilled out.
When the green
