After leaving Mentor Lilian's laboratory, Green jogged all the way to the Mission Zone. The method Mentor Lilian had given him was to accept a stationing mission.

The East Coast had massive amounts of radiation released into the environment because of the Wizards' presence, causing the environment to mutate. With Wandering Wizards from the outside world—one radiation source after another walking around—the spread of radiation had intensified.

In this environment, the advantage was that ordinary people were more likely to develop Wizard Aptitude. The disadvantage was that all kinds of Demonic Beasts would be born in the natural environment.

As mortals were the foundation of Wizards, Wizards were needed to resolve these problems. Thus, stationed Wizards existed in mortal kingdoms.

However, stationed Wizards were not popular. First, the mission rewards were meager. Second, upon entering a mortal kingdom, the elemental concentration would fall, slowing meditation somewhat. Missions like these were generally assigned to apprentices by force from the Academy, and very few apprentices accepted them voluntarily.

That was because stationing missions shared one basic characteristic: they were not very difficult, but they lasted a very long time.

For a stationing mission, an apprentice only needed to stay in a certain place. If a Demonic Beast appeared, they could deal with it themselves if they were able; otherwise, they had to report it to the Academy.

However, Demonic Beasts born in mortal kingdoms were generally not very strong, and the apprentices could deal with them easily.

Correspondingly, stationing missions lasted a very long time, usually around three to five years. For apprentices with considerable talent, they were absolutely a waste of time.
