Evolution Experiment

Alicia's heart was filled with fear. She had received another notice from Green: the Third Phase of the experiment was about to begin.

With her nerves in knots, Alicia took a carriage to Green's hilltop villa.

The moment she stepped out of the carriage, a maid came forward from the entrance.

"Miss, Lord Green is waiting for you in the laboratory!"

The maid wore a smile, but Alicia could not smile back. The first two experiments had left too deep a shadow on her mind. Now, merely seeing Green's villa made her legs tremble.

Although she could feel her body growing stronger after each experiment, she also sensed, somehow, that something had been added inside her, and that she had formed some kind of connection with Green.

Alicia managed a stiff smile and walked toward the entrance to Green Laboratory. Her zombie-like steps betrayed how tense she felt.

"Lie on the operating table! No need to take off your clothes. Today is the final stage of the experiment. Once it's done, that's the end of it for you!" Alicia had only just entered the laboratory and spotted Green with his back to her. Before she could speak, his icy voice reached her.

Gulp!

Alicia swallowed. Learning that this was the last experiment brought her no joy. The final stage was often the most dangerous. She might well die on the operating table.

Alicia had barely lain down when Green placed a hand on the back of her neck. She knew what would happen next. She drew a deep breath and closed her eyes.

Blue electricity shot from Green's hand. Instantly, Alicia felt the same sensation as before: she had lost control of her body.

Green looked at Alicia, now unable to control her body, then closed his eyes and
