The two Ninth-Level Lives, originally sealed inside the Blue Crystal Orb, first fell briefly still in their fluctuations of soul and will. Then those fluctuations grew even more violent.
Frequent exchanges of information began between the two Ninth-Level Lives.
Under these circumstances, the exchange of information gradually calmed down, becoming more orderly and regular.
Green, who had been watching all along, knew that the two Ninth-Level Lives had reached a conclusion.
"What deal?" Within the Crystal Orb, the stronger Olorusville responded to Green as the representative of the two.
At Olorusville's question, the corners of Green's mouth curved into a faint smile.
Obtaining the relevant information through a deal was far better than resorting to violence.
There was ultimately a fundamental difference between Ninth-Level Lives and ordinary lifeforms. Without understanding the essence of Ninth-Level Lives, rashly using violent means could easily trigger an unknowable crisis.
Using a soul scan on a lifeform whose level was higher than one's own was itself an extremely dangerous act.
Over the time that followed, Green began acquiring information in exchange for the two's freedom.
To verify the truth of the information, Green specifically blocked the exchange of souls and wills between the two. Using a method similar to the Prisoner's Dilemma, he confirmed that neither of them was deceiving him.
