Leo's gaze fell on Wizard Mode beside Fia. He hadn't expected Wizard Mode to be at Pella Research Lab too. Fia went over to speak with the Third-Level Wizard Apprentice at the entrance.

Wizard Mode studied Leo. "Leo, I'm glad we get to work together again."

Mode might have been scruffy, and her tone could sometimes be cold, but Leo knew from working with her that she was warmhearted. She helped newcomers to the gathering like him.

A smile rose on Wizard Mode's face when she saw Leo.

Clearly, working with Leo in the previous lab had left her with a good impression of him. She was happy they would be working together again.

"I should be saying that. Thanks to your help, Wizard Mode, I was able to contribute in the previous lab."

Wizard Mode said, "Your mental energy seems to have risen quite a bit again."

"Yes. It's reached 42 points now. That's also thanks to you and the others giving me the superior-quality Raven Mana Growth Potion I refined for free. You saved me a considerable sum in Magic Stones."

"I'm glad we could help."

Wizard Mode nodded. "But the higher your mental energy rises, the less effect potions have. Mine has been stuck near the limit for a Third-Level Wizard Apprentice for almost a year."

Leo frowned. "Even potions don't help?"

"That's right. Potions can raise mental energy, but if your mental talent isn't strong enough, even improving through potions becomes difficult. My mental talent is only level three, which is why I've been stuck as a Third-Level Wizard Apprentice for nearly a year."

"Still, I'm fairly confident I can break through to Second-Rank Wizard Apprentice in another year or two."

Leo nodded, but inwardly he thought:
