"Wizard Leo, it seemed you had a very poor impression of me. Your first reaction was actually to think that I had killed Sono."

"However, I had no intention of denying it."

"Sono was indeed killed by me."

Kyle said calmly, "Whether as Wizards or as members of the royal family, Sono had to die, even if he was my younger brother."

"Moreover, Sono's death was his own doing."

"Originally, if he had not joined the Uriel Gathering, I would not have chosen him as a vessel."

"Instead of staying properly at the Esmond Gathering, he chose otherwise. That was the greatest mistake he made."

"Besides, sacrificing a mere prince with a Level 2 Mental Power Talent in exchange for a chance at eternal prosperity for the Sogla Royal Family made his death quite valuable."

"Although that plan also fell apart, his death still held some value. At the very least, it allowed me to complete my mentor's task successfully."

Leo was stirred.

Leo did not consider himself a particularly sentimental person.

Yet someone like Kyle, who could kill even his own younger brother to achieve his goal, was colder-blooded than Leo had imagined.

Kyle said calmly, "Wizard Leo, you are still too ruled by emotion. We Wizards are seekers of truth. In our eyes, there are no personal feelings, only benefits related to our research."

Leo sneered inwardly.

There was nothing wrong with the notion that Wizards pursued truth.

However, many Wizards seemed to treat that notion like holy scripture, fond of bringing it up at every turn.

As a result, whenever Leo heard it now, it sounded more like an excuse for their own actions.

"All right, Wizard Leo. I believe you do not enjoy such long-winded and boring philosophical topics either. When speaking with you, I would
