Knight Puppet Spell

The Wizard profession examination was divided into two parts: on-the-spot assessment and performance evaluation.

The on-the-spot assessment tested one's fundamentals, and most Wizards could earn decent scores in this category.

The performance evaluation tested a Wizard's improvements and innovations, and it was the main scoring criterion of the Wizard profession examination.

The sample answers Sally had provided mainly recorded improvements and innovations, including both positive and negative examples.

There was no right or wrong answer, only high or low scores.

The low-scoring negative examples were those of very little value.

For instance, there was a potion called White Tiger Depilatory Cream. After use, it could quickly remove hair from the area where it was applied.

This sort of utterly useless potion was still considered an innovation, but it was a low-scoring negative example.

There were also cases where a potion that originally caused frequent urination for several days as a side effect was improved into a potion that caused coughing for several days instead, even though the effects of the two potions were identical.

This kind of improved potion was likewise a low-scoring negative example.

Professional examinations did not merely require innovation and improvement; they also required practical value.

Of course, where there were bad examples, there were naturally good ones. Some good examples were failures as well, but they still held reference value.

Even Leo found that he had gained a great deal from reading them.

Just then, a gentle notification interrupted Leo's thoughts.

"Discovered a catalog entry for an inferior-quality Finlig Magical Pressure Potion (Improved). Record it?"

A thoughtful expression appeared on Leo's face.

If these failed cases could become catalog entries, did that mean he could use these failures as formulas for his own innovative and improved potions?

Every Wizard of the Tower of Dawn could access courses worth a total of twenty Magic Stones each month. Courses exceeding twenty Magic Stones required additional Magic Stones.

Leo took out the card and poured mental energy into it.

The card refracted a screen of light. Within it were what looked like portraits of the Wizards themselves, each marked with the corresponding course content and Magic Stone price.

There was also a searchable search bar above them.

After thinking for a moment, Leo entered Battle Mage and searched.

One spell after another soon appeared.

Basic Body Fortification Spell, Basic Cell Vitality Enhancement Spell...

Battle Mage spells were all simple spells that strengthened the body.

Yet the courses for each spell were exceptionally expensive, with the cheapest costing twenty Magic Stones and the most expensive reaching fifty.

"Knight Puppet Spell."

The Prismatic Dragon Scale he had obtained from this voyage had made Leo more interested in these dragon creatures, which had now vanished from the Twin Continents.

This time, Leo searched using dragon as the keyword.

A great number of dragon-related spells appeared.

These spells basically came from one Wizard profession: Bloodline Mage.

Bloodline Mages referred to Wizards who integrated the Bloodline Abilities of magical creatures into their own spells.

This integration was not learning, but bloodline transplantation and physical modification.

Leo looked through the Wizard courses from the highest Magic Stone cost down to the lowest.

However, the Wizard course with both the highest Magic Stone cost and the greatest number of readers caught Leo's attention.

"Dragon Blood Purification Spell."

This was a spell that continuously purified the Dragonblood Lineage transplanted into one's body, thereby obtaining a bloodline closer to a True Dragon Bloodline.

This spell had the same underlying principle as the final potion in the Grand Compendium of Potions that Leo had obtained before: the Dragon Blood Purification Potion.

Coincidentally, the Wizard who had published this spell was also a Formal Wizard.

Leo did not choose this spell as a course. After all, he did not even possess a Dragonblood Lineage yet, so considering purification now would be far too fanciful.

After thinking for a moment, Leo restricted the search to Rainbow Dragons.

There was not a single Wizard course concerning Rainbow Dragon bloodlines.

Leo was a little disappointed.

Because bloodline modification involved altering one's own body and carried considerable risks, after discovering that he could not find the Rainbow Dragon bloodline modification he wanted, he temporarily gave up on this category of spell courses.

Leo then searched for Arcane Botany Wizard courses.
