The whole Solomon's Flower Dago had brought back from the Damp Forest was enough to make ten bottles of Solomon's Caress. Five bottles were successfully brewed, and Dago drank them all.
Bernal had once said that if anyone kept a record of how many bottles of Solomon's Caress a person had taken in succession, Dago would surely hold it.
The fact that he had survived six consecutive bottles in one piece was nothing short of a miracle in Potioncraft!
Now Dago felt as though he had been reborn once more. Youth and mediocrity had never belonged together.
After the poisonous hand of Solomon, the ultimate sage, had "caressed" his brain five full times, everything about him had changed.
He absorbed knowledge faster, understood things more readily, and thought through problems more quickly. The benefits of his greatly expanded mental capacity touched every part of his life, and Dago was still exploring them.
But he had already gained some tangible benefits from that growth.
"Have you achieved First-Level Domain Resonance?"
Bernal asked the question out of the blue.
A sharp glint flashed through Dago's deep-blue eyes. He was silent for a moment, then shook his head. "No."
Bernal seemed to have expected the answer, but disappointment still showed on his face.
"Ah! First-Level Domain Resonance is incredibly difficult to comprehend even for someone with the soul strength of a Second-Ring Wizard. It would be extraordinary for a First-Ring Wizard to master it."
"I thought five bottles of Solomon's Caress might change that. Now I see I was just hoping for too much."
Bernal sighed softly. "If you could comprehend First-Level Domain Resonance, you might actually have a chance. Forget it. Say no more."
He waved a hand, signaling that Dago could get back to his work.
