Dago found Undine rather peculiar throughout the entire exchange.

Perhaps, as she had said, she had only recently taken over as the master of the Silver Tower.

Dago could sense that Undine was genuinely trying hard to play the role of "Tower Master" well. She constantly swayed between maintaining her authority and showing warmth.

It was as if Dago, as a student, were facing a teacher who had only just begun learning how to be a good homeroom teacher.

But regardless of whether Undine was a qualified Tower Master, as a powerful wizard above the Third Circle, her guidance and assistance were immensely valuable to Dago.

She had personally cleared away some of the fog along his path ahead, placing markers at certain key points and waiting for Dago to reach them and make his own choices.

Dago rose from the high-backed chair. He did not leave immediately, but instead looked around and gazed into the distance through the crystal windows on all four sides.
