Dago was currently in a place called the Wailing Mountains.
The place where Ewakuai had arranged to meet him was a primitive tribe deep within the Wailing Mountains.
Ewakuai could not describe the exact location. He had only told Dago to keep heading deeper into the Wailing Mountains. Once he saw a forest made entirely of Moon Trees, he would have found the place.
Moon Trees had no fixed appearance. Their sole distinguishing trait was that they glowed beneath moonlight, so Dago decided to wait for the moon to rise before continuing onward.
He estimated that he was close to the destination.
As usual, Dago first sensed the state of the "symbiosis" between himself and Tracy.
Compared to five days ago, the connection between them seemed to have grown even closer. It had not gradually weakened with the passage of time as Dago had expected.
Dago guessed that if this continued, their souls might merge further until they were completely indistinguishable from one another, giving birth to a "new" individual.
That was something he absolutely did not wish to see, yet he had no way to resolve or even restrain it.
The only good news was probably that Tracy's condition was worse than his.
Although he was in "symbiosis" with Tracy, most of his strength had remained intact.
Tracy, on the other hand, had almost completely lost her combat ability for some unknown reason. Neither her bloodline nor her spells, not even her mental power, could be used.
All she had left was the strong physique granted by the Phoenix Bloodline. She was only somewhat stronger than an ordinary person, perhaps not even a match for a capable wizard apprentice.
Perhaps that was why she obediently allowed him to "handle" her as he pleased.
Looking at Tracy's current state, Dago
