"That's for Dago to decide."

Tracy skillfully kicked the question over to Dago. The green-haired girl, Beatrice, turned to him expectantly.

Dago did not answer, but his silence said it all.

"All right."

Beatrice looked full of regret, then immediately resumed chatting with Tracy.

"Jasmine, once you get there, make sure to contact me. If you can't find a suitable place to stay, I'd really love for you to come join us."

Listening to Beatrice's heartfelt words from the side, Dago did not know how to judge her.

Burdened by her family's blood debt and still in danger of being hunted down, she was desperately inviting someone she had known for less than two months to travel with her. The girl before him truly was incredibly naive.

He subconsciously glanced at the stern man with black markings beside her. Seeing the same helplessness in the man's eyes and how he repeatedly held back his words, Dago guessed that, as a nanny-like figure by Beatrice's side, he would have plenty of headaches in the future.

But none of that had anything to do with Dago. In a few days, he and Tracy would part ways with the two of them, and they would likely never meet again.

Dago gazed toward the distant horizon. Several snow-white seagulls soared through the sky. Perhaps influenced by the soul of the original "Dago" within him, he too felt a touch of homesickness mixed with timidity, and his thoughts slowly drifted toward the no-longer-distant East Coast.

Dago casually removed the mask from his face, letting the mild sea breeze brush against his cheeks.

His injuries had mostly healed. Wearing a mask or not no longer mattered.

"Wow."

A soft cry of amazement sounded beside his ear. Dago followed it and saw Beatrice staring fixedly at him.
