At that moment, a "knock, knock, knock" sounded from outside the room.
"Lord Dago, are you there?"
Linda's voice came from the doorway, carrying a hint of tension unlike before.
Dago frowned slightly and tried to extend his Mental Force Field to investigate. The next second, however, it was forcibly driven back by an enormous Mental Force Field at least ten times stronger than his own.
A very powerful wizard was standing outside the door!
Damn it, damn it. It must be a wizard from the spell training hall coming for me.
Dago was panicking inside, uneasily thinking this.
Whatever. A blade in the neck was still a blade in the neck. His expression calmed, and he went to open the door.
"What is it, Linda?"
Like a timid, docile kitten, Linda shrank into the corner by the door. She pointed at the person standing beside her and said softly, "This lord from the Thorn Ring is here to see you."

Dago's gaze trembled slightly as his eyes fell on the uninvited guest before him.
He was a tall male wizard.
He had short brown hair and an ordinary face. He wore a green wizard robe bearing the conspicuous emblem of the Thorn Ring, and waves of Mental Force Field radiated from him, making Dago feel faintly suffocated.
He gave Dago a smile that did not reach his eyes and extended his scar-covered right hand, intending to shake hands.
"Late First-Ring, or even a Second-Ring Wizard?!"
Dago made a swift judgment in his mind, but his expression remained solemn and polite as he reached out, shook the man's hand, and gave it three pumps.
"What business does this lord have with me?"
