"You still dared to show yourself?"

Franz stared fixedly at Bernal, his cold voice echoing through the room.

"That isn't something you should concern yourself with."

Bernal smiled and shook his head. "You haven't changed at all, Franz. Still as reckless... and stupid as ever."

"You!!"

Franz's face twisted slightly. His gaze shifted back and forth between Dago and Bernal, as if he had suddenly understood something, and quickly turned cold.

"No wonder. Good, very good."

Franz sneered without pause. "Bernal, I truly hope you'll still look so proud and fearless in there."

With that, Franz turned and left.

The smile faded from Bernal's face as he called out casually, "Did you forget to leave something behind?"

Franz paused briefly, then flung a gleaming object over without looking back.

Bernal caught it casually and, without even looking at it, tossed it straight to Dago.

Dago caught it and looked down. It was a beautiful golden badge engraved with the emblem of the Thorn Ring, with a tiny rune crystal beneath the design.

"This is the Ring's core credential. With it, you'll be free to enter and leave any Wizard Tower under the Ring of Law."

Bernal said offhandedly, "I'll take Selena back to the castle first. Dago can go have a look around the Ring Tower."

Dago was rather speechless at Bernal's irresponsibility, but he had no objections to the arrangement.

The transaction between them had effectively been completed once Dago obtained the qualification credential of an official Ring of Law member. All that remained was Dago's side of the deal.

Selena's eyes flickered. She wanted to enter the Ring Tower with Dago, but Bernal knocked her on the head. She covered her head in pain, tears welling in her eyes.
