Background / History

Wang Dong'er had lived alongside Huo Yuhao under the male identity of Wang Dong, sharing training, meals, and lodging with him. At Sea God's Fate, she reveals herself as a girl and openly confirms their mutual love, beginning their public relationship 5.

Her happiness is disrupted by Wang Qiu'er's sudden appearance. Qiu'er has an almost identical face but an opposing, coldly proud temperament; she calls herself “another” Wang Dong'er and warns that Dong'er's fate and blessings may not remain hers alone 8 9.

A hidden wound in Wang Dong'er's divine soul causes her spiritual consciousness and life force to collapse. Huo Yuhao risks his life to seek the Lovesick Heartbroken Red as a cure, motivated by his determination to save her 9 12.
