"Jerry, just how many abilities do you have?"
After listening to Jerry's account, Charles's mouth twitched uncontrollably. At last, he asked the question everyone most wanted answered.
"Technically, there's only one. I call it—magic!"
Leaving them with that answer and offering no further explanation, Jerry headed toward the castle ahead.
"Magic?"
Everyone looked confused. They did not understand what Jerry meant by "magic." Did he mean his abilities were as miraculous as magic, or did it carry some special meaning?
"Let's go. No matter how many abilities he has, at least he's on our side."
Charles patted Erik on the shoulder and led everyone after Jerry.
Jerry was mysterious and impossible to read, but he had indeed been helping them all along. Even the abilities he had used just now were meant to protect them and the future Mutants.
"Not bad, but it still doesn't compare to Hogwarts Castle."
After taking a tour around Charles's castle, Jerry recalled Hogwarts, where he had gone to school. By comparison, he still found Hogwarts Castle more distinctive.
Thinking of Hogwarts naturally made him think of Hermione.
"Maybe once I collect some more Phoenix Force, it'll be time to go back and make things official with Hermione."
After traveling through so many parallel universes and seeing so many versions of himself getting married and having children, he suddenly felt that perhaps he could put his pursuit of power on hold for a while and have a complete family of his own.
Even if he gathered and absorbed most of the Phoenix Force, advancing the Ring Universe to the multiversal level would still take a very long time—perhaps hundreds or even thousands of years.
He could not keep anchoring time forever. He needed a harbor where he could rest when he was tired.
