It's Time to Show Real Power

When Shaw suddenly found himself unable to speak, he immediately turned his gaze toward Jerry behind Erik.

He knew Erik's abilities very well, so this had to be the work of that unfamiliar Mutant following behind Erik.

However, he did not care much. It was merely a silencing ability without any destructive power, incapable of posing a threat to him.

At most, it prevented him from persuading Erik with words.

Honestly, he greatly appreciated Erik, the pawn he had raised since childhood. Erik was very much like him deep down; he simply could not let go of that little bit of love.

Back then, he had killed Erik's mother to help Erik awaken his abilities more fully, yet Erik could not understand his good intentions and had instead come to oppose him.

"Die!"

The moment Erik saw Shaw, he seemed to recall the scene of his mother lying in a pool of blood. Fury instantly filled his heart, and his ability to control magnetic fields erupted at full force.

The metal throughout the nuclear submarine tore free from its original positions, turning into all manner of deadly weapons that shot toward Shaw.

If Shaw had been an ordinary person, what awaited him would have been the fate of being skewered into a bloody mess. Unfortunately, he was not.

Watching the sharp metal fly toward him, Shaw revealed a disdainful smile.

"Looks like your abilities have improved quite a bit, but you're still far too weak!"

Though Shaw had not completely absorbed the nuclear energy within the submarine, he had absorbed most of it. He was currently at the peak of his strength.

He lightly pushed one hand forward, releasing an invisible wave of energy from within his body that shattered every incoming piece of metal.
