Shisui rose from Shadow Rock, a kunai lodged in his chest, and staggered toward Naruto.

He looked down at Itachi, something indescribable in his eyes.

"Itachi." Shisui's voice was hoarse. "You possess the power of Susanoo now too."

"Shisui, you..." Itachi looked at the kunai in Shisui's chest, then at the Akatsuki robe soaked through with blood. "What you couldn't do, I did."

"Kotoamatsukami." Shisui smiled, but it was a bitter smile. "I originally wanted to use it to stop the coup and change the fate of the Uchiha Clan and Konoha. But Danzo didn't trust me. He took my right eye and drove me into a corner. Naruto saved me."

Itachi fell silent.

"Must you become my enemy?" Itachi asked.

"Akatsuki already belongs to us." Naruto answered for Shisui. He jumped down from Shadow Rock and landed before Sasuke, only three steps away.

His Mangekyō Sharingan met Sasuke's Mangekyō Sharingan, the bloodlines of two Uchiha silently colliding in the air.

"Sasuke." Naruto extended a hand. "Then assist me, starting with the destruction of Konoha."

Sasuke did not lower his sword.

"Sasuke has always treasured your friendship." Itachi suddenly spoke. There was an incredibly faint tremor in his voice, the first time in his life he had revealed such emotion before his younger brother.

Naruto looked at Itachi and smiled. "Is that so?"

He withdrew his hand, slipped it into his pocket, and turned toward the edge of Shadow Rock. When he reached it, he stopped with his back to everyone.

"Sasuke, do you know? During my years in Akatsuki, I learned many things. For instance, hatred isn't something that can be resolved through protection alone."

He turned back, his scarlet eyes gleaming in the twilight. "Konoha owes me. It owes the Uchiha Clan. It owes everyone sacrificed by Root
