Divine Tree harvesting

The Ōtsutsuki God deploys enormous Divine Tree tubes—called “straws”—that extract the world’s life force. A single tube can drain the chakra of a major nation; multiple tubes cause vegetation to wither, seas to recede, and the planet’s ecosystem to collapse. 388

Naruto estimates that the entire Ninja World will become a lifeless world within roughly three months if the harvesting continues. 388 423

The harvesting ultimately accelerates beyond that estimate. The straw locks the Ninja World’s spatial coordinates, prevents Naruto from moving the planet with a Domain Lord-level Origin Core, and drains the final energy from its exposed core. 506 507

Planetary collapse

After Hagoromo is erased, the activated straw consumes the Ninja World’s remaining core energy in a single surge. The planet loses its gravitational anchor points and breaks along an equatorial fissure, destroying Konoha, Hokage Rock, continents, mountains, and the remaining planetary environment. 507 508

Ōtsutsuki God

Isshiki calls out to Ōtsutsuki Yamei and transmits information about the Root Algorithm, deliberately drawing the god’s attention to the Ninja World. 379 Naruto later determines that the god is heavily wounded and hidden in a cosmic temple, where it drains planetary life force to recover. 389

The god later manifests as a higher-dimensional phantom larger than a galaxy, with tentacles extending through numerous star systems. Its Root Algorithm withstands Naruto’s particle-level dismantling attempt, confirming that the god’s power operates beyond conventional matter manipulation. 499 507

Pure Land intervention

Hagoromo orders the population to stop migrating to Bewildering Moon, since mass departure would cut off the Pure Land’s supply of souls. He claims he will maintain order, despite admitting that the Ninja World’s destruction does not concern him. 415 416

Hagoromo subsequently consumes the Pure Land’s remaining souls to reach the Late Star Lord stage. His breakthrough contributes to the straw’s activation, and his willingness to sacrifice the Ninja World leads Naruto to erase him. 499 507
