Divine Tree harvesting

The Ōtsutsuki God deploys enormous Divine Tree tubes—called “straws”—that extract the world’s life force. A single tube can drain the chakra of a major nation; multiple tubes cause vegetation to wither, seas to recede, and the planet’s ecosystem to collapse. 388

Naruto estimates that the entire Ninja World will become a lifeless world within roughly three months if the harvesting continues. 388 423

Ōtsutsuki God

Isshiki calls out to Ōtsutsuki Yamei and transmits information about the Root Algorithm, deliberately drawing the god’s attention to the Ninja World. 379 Naruto later determines that the god is heavily wounded and hidden in a cosmic temple, where it drains planetary life force to recover. 389

Pure Land intervention

Hagoromo orders the population to stop migrating to Bewildering Moon, since mass departure would cut off the Pure Land’s supply of souls. He claims he will maintain order, despite admitting that the Ninja World’s destruction does not concern him. 415 416
