Planned Invasion of the Empire of Heaven

After receiving intelligence that Naruto is gravely wounded, A meets Onoki near the Land of Earth border. The two leaders acknowledge their villages’ heavy losses—particularly Hidden Cloud’s casualties at Phantom Town—and agree to exploit Naruto’s vulnerability with a surprise attack. 82

A investigates a battlefield scarred by an enormous sword slash alongside Onoki, Kitsuchi, and more than twenty Elite Jonin. The lingering chakra pressure and scale of destruction initially alarm him, but the belief that the unknown wielder is incapacitated convinces the alliance to proceed. 83

That night, A and Onoki lead more than five hundred elite ninja into the Empire of Heaven. The force assassinates seven border guards and encounters no immediate resistance, leading them to believe the capital is undefended. 83

Battle at Eighteen-Mile Slope

The allied force is ambushed at Eighteen-Mile Slope, suffering dozens of casualties from earth spikes and projectile attacks. A counters by attacking the Empire’s ambushers with lightning-enhanced force, then confronts Zabuza personally. 84
