After taking stock of everything he had gained, Ye Yun washed up and stepped out of his room.
He went down the stairs and arrived at the first floor of the inn.
The first floor was packed with people drinking and chatting, all of them discussing Divine Ape Valley.
"Have you heard? Someone saw traces of the Blackwater Four Fiends in the Blackwater Mountains today!"
"Who? Where? So many people are offering rewards now—should we join in and try our luck at taking the Blackwater Four Fiends' heads?"
"I think you're tired of living. Are the Blackwater Four Fiends really that easy to kill? Drink your wine!"
As Ye Yun passed by the table, he frowned slightly at their words, then smiled and walked straight out of the inn.
The Blackwater Four Fiends had already died by his hand. These people had probably picked up some unreliable rumors from somewhere and were merely passing them around until they became truth.
Azure Sun Town at night was no less lively than it was during the day. The streets bustled with people coming and going.
Looking at the scene before him, Ye Yun suddenly felt relaxed. He could not remember how long it had been since he had last felt this way.
Ever since entering the Purple Extreme Sect and beginning his martial cultivation, there had always seemed to be a pressure in his heart, forcing him not to slacken in his training for even a moment.
That pressure came from his grandfather's expectations, his own pursuit of martial arts, and the sect's rules.
Now that his great vengeance had been avenged, the pressure in his heart had finally eased somewhat, and more than half the resentment within him had melted away as well.
Thus, his whole body felt indescribably light.
