(Second update)
A purple moon hung high in the sky, casting a dreamlike purple radiance over the slaughter city below.
Clearly located deep underground, the air was unexpectedly not turbid at all, carrying instead a hint of dampness.
Upon entering Slaughter City, Yang Ming unexpectedly discovered that it was exceptionally desolate. This desolation was not merely because the pedestrians on the streets were far fewer than in other cities; it was a desolation that penetrated deep into the bone marrow, as if countless wronged souls were wandering overhead.
However, this only added a certain unique charm to the city.
Aside from that, this city possessed all the structures that any city on the mainland should have. Residential houses, inns, hotels, brothels, and daily living and entertainment facilities were all fully equipped. Except for the light being dimmer than on the surface, this place was no different from an ordinary city.
Treading on the granite-paved road, Yang Ming followed the guide along the way, curiously looking around and nodding from time to time in understanding of the guide's explanations.
However, Yang Ming's fresh face, especially his excessively youthful appearance, did attract the attention of quite a few people. Of course, so far, it was just attention.
After all, those who could enter Slaughter City, regardless of what they did outside, were at least no fools if they had managed to survive until now. Smart people knew to plan and then act, and even some rather rash and reckless people knew to observe for a while first to see whether this kid Yang Ming was a fat sheep before deciding whether to make a move.
