Guess?
Guess my ass!
Tang San felt a faint urge to go berserk. After all, the Mysterious Heaven Treasure Manual was the foundation of his existence and his greatest secret!
Seeing a trace of killing intent flash through Tang San's eyes, Yang Ming was startled and immediately put away his carefree attitude.
Having just received quite a few rewards from the system, Yang Ming had nearly gotten carried away. The Tang San before him was no ordinary child, but an elite of the Tang Sect!
If he could not give Tang San a satisfactory answer, Tang San might very well kill him!
With that thought, a bead of cold sweat formed on Yang Ming's forehead. Before Tang San could completely lose control, he quickly said:
"The Mysterious Heaven Treasure Manual? Third Brother, what is that?"
Fortunately, this body was still young. Yang Ming's childish face was filled with sincerity, with no sign at all that he was lying. He truly deserved a little golden statuette.
Yang Ming and Tang San had practically grown up together as close friends.
Tang San's eyes flickered. In truth, he did not quite believe Yang Ming knew of the Mysterious Heaven Treasure Manual. His aggressive questioning earlier had merely been because his concern had thrown him into confusion, causing him to reveal a flaw.
But if Yang Ming did not know the Mysterious Heaven Treasure Manual, how had he learned the Mysterious Jade Hand?
"Yang Ming, let me ask you something." Tang San suppressed the restlessness in his heart and stared into Yang Ming's eyes. "At my house just now, you used a hammer to forge weapons. Why weren't your hands injured?"
"Oh, you're asking about that."
Yang Ming showed a look of sudden realization and raised his small palm.
"I usually watched you practice on the mountain. After watching for a while, I learned it."
He had learned the Mysterious Jade Hand just by watching?
Did he think he was some monstrous genius?
Tang San nearly spat blood in fury. He had gone through countless hardships to cultivate the techniques recorded in the Mysterious Heaven Treasure Manual, yet this little brat was telling him to his face that they were not difficult at all. Wasn't that the same as calling Tang San useless?
He had practiced for so long, yet he was not even as good as someone who had watched a few times?
Tang San did not believe it from the bottom of his heart!
Ever since obtaining the Mysterious Heaven Treasure Manual, he had cultivated diligently. He knew perfectly well how difficult its techniques were to master. How could someone learn them just by taking a few looks?
Tang San's expression darkened.
"Yang Ming, come with me."
Yang Ming's heart tightened. He had no idea what Tang San intended to do, but his face remained calm.
"Why?"
"Come with me to the little mountain." Tang San stared fixedly at Yang Ming. "I want to see whether you really can learn my moves after watching them a few times, just as you claim."
So that was it!
I thought you were going to find somewhere to kill me.
Yang Ming secretly let out a sigh of relief, and an easy smile appeared on his face.
"No problem."
The two headed one after the other to the small mountain where they usually trained.
The rising sun hung in the east. Yang Ming stood with his back to it, the faint orange-red sunlight falling over him and making him appear much taller.
Tang San's gaze sharpened. He assumed a starting stance and said:
"Yang Ming, let's have a spar. Let me see whether you truly can learn my moves after watching them a few times, as you said!"
Yang Ming secretly laughed. Other than the Mysterious Heaven Skill and Purple Demon Eyes, I've already secretly learned everything else.
However, Yang Ming gave nothing away. He raised a hand in invitation and said solemnly:
"Come on. I also want to know which of us is stronger!"
Neither of them made the first move.
Tang San was observing Yang Ming. He found that the village chief's strict training regimen for Yang Ming had indeed been quite effective. Although it was all basic training, there was a saying: even a tower a thousand feet high had to be built from the ground up. Only with a solid foundation could one build higher.
Just standing there, Yang Ming revealed not the slightest opening.
This instinctively made Tang San regard him as an equal opponent, and he did not dare act rashly. As for Yang Ming, he had merely been an ordinary middle school student in his previous life, a well-behaved student who had never fought anyone. Since coming to the Douluo Continent, he had only sparred with his grandfather, Old Jack. Facing Tang San, the protagonist of the original story, he would be lying if he said he was not nervous.
Thus, the two remained locked in a standoff, their gazes meeting as if sparks were flying between them.
Silence.
Oppressive silence!
A gust of mountain wind swept by, rustling the leaves. A withered yellow leaf drifted down and floated past the two of them.
The instant the leaf touched the ground, Tang San moved!
Tang San was indeed an elite of the Tang Sect. Still as a mountain when motionless, swift as fire when moving. With a stomp of his foot, his body blurred as he used Ghost Shadow Perplexing Track, swaying through Yang Ming's vision and making it difficult to track his figure.
The corner of Yang Ming's mouth curled up. Under Tang San's astonished gaze, he too stepped into Ghost Shadow Perplexing Track, leaving an afterimage where he stood as he rushed toward Tang San at incredible speed.
Could he really be a monstrous genius, capable of learning my moves with a single glance?
Tang San was utterly shocked, but he had always been proud. That pride had seeped into his bones, and he was not someone who would easily admit defeat.
Seeing Yang Ming's fist swing down toward his face, Tang San took a deep breath. The five fingers of his right hand curled inward into a dragon claw, and a strange suction force emerged from his palm.
A grappling technique—Seize Crane, Capture Dragon!
Yang Ming's fist had been headed for Tang San's nose, but under the influence of that suction force, it involuntarily veered to one side.
Taking advantage of the moment when Yang Ming's old strength had faded and his new strength had yet to emerge, with his chest exposed and full of openings, a sharp light flashed in Tang San's eyes. He immediately closed in, his other hand clenching into a fist and carrying tremendous force, accompanied by a faint whistle of wind.
"Good!"
Rather than being alarmed, Yang Ming was delighted. His fist opened, his five fingers forming a claw. He answered tooth for tooth, and the same suction force emerged from his palm as he used Seize Crane, Capture Dragon to draw Tang San's fist in!
Tang San had never felt so frustrated in his life!
Yang Ming was like his reflection in a mirror. No matter what move Tang San used, Yang Ming invariably countered it with the exact same move.
That alone would have been one thing. After all, Tang San had cultivated the Mysterious Heaven Skill since childhood. His physical condition far surpassed that of an adult, and he possessed great strength. Yet after several exchanges, Tang San discovered in frustration that Yang Ming's physical condition was not inferior to his in the slightest, and Yang Ming was even somewhat stronger.
Whenever their fists collided, although both had the protection of the Mysterious Jade Hand, the repeated impacts still left the backs of their hands burning with pain.
If this continued, the final result would likely be mutual injury!
Tang San's doubts about Yang Ming had faded considerably. Right now, he only wanted to win!
"Yang Ming, I admit that you truly are a genius seen only once in a hundred years."
Tang San's expression sank, and a noble violet glow appeared in his eyes. He had clearly activated the Purple Demon Eyes.
"However, I am stronger than you!"
