Yang Ming braced his hands on the floor, his knees on the ground and his son Yang Guo riding on his back. As his son giggled, Yang Ming crawled in circles across the floor. Though his face was covered in sweat, his smile shone with heartfelt joy.
Hu Liena rested her chin on one hand, watching father and son interact with tender affection, a happy smile on her lips as well.
Knock, knock, knock!
Just then, a knock sounded at the door.
Yang Ming's smile faded. He gently lifted his son off his back, but Yang Guo seemed reluctant to leave his father, his chubby little hands clinging tightly to Yang Ming's sleeve.
"Be good, sweetheart. Once Daddy finishes his work, I'll come play with you again, all right?" Yang Ming coaxed.
Little Yang Guo pouted, his big eyes brimming with hurt. But after swallowing the Dragon Ball from the world of Shrouding the Heavens, he was no less intelligent than a five- or six-year-old. He was sensible enough not to make a fuss, letting Yang Ming place him in Hu Liena's arms.
"I'll leave him with you for now. I'll be right back."
Yang Ming bent down and kissed Hu Liena's smooth forehead. She knew that he was not only serving as the leader of the Sky-Blasting Gang but also maintaining his public identity, which made his work exceptionally demanding. She quickly nodded in understanding.
