Saiki Kusuo sat on the ground, expressionless as he used his psychic powers to restrain the newly appeared dog-headed monster, leaving Shen He to finish it off with precise shots.

"Didn't we already try that? We can't move forward once we reach the boundary. We probably have to wait until I level up."

As Shen He silently recited the principles of sight alignment and shooting posture, he studied the three-dimensional model of himself on the system interface.

He needed one hundred experience points. Killing one monster only gave him one point, and he was now six points away from reaching level two.

They had already run plenty of tests. Whether the monsters were killed by Servants or by Shen He himself, the experience gained was the same. Saiki Kusuo's experience, however, did not change at all; he could only be strengthened by using the Beginner Enhancement Stones dropped by monsters.

Strengthening consumed mana. Ten Beginner Enhancement Stones cost one point of mana. Shen He had a total of ten mana points, while Saiki Kusuo needed one hundred and fifty Beginner Enhancement Stones to go from level one to level two.

In other words... even if they farmed enough enhancement fodder, they still would not have enough mana.

Fortunately, the drop rate for enhancement stones was practically one hundred percent, though these weak monsters could only drop Beginner Enhancement Stones.

"One last experience point."

Shen He narrowed his eyes slightly and aimed his pistol at a small monster five meters away, held in place by psychic power.

Bang!

The same stream of cool energy flowed into his body.

The difference was that this time, all the streams of energy he had gained before seemed to stir at once. Shen He felt his body suddenly become much lighter.

He tried swinging his arms a few times. They were clearly stronger than before.

Unfortunately, the three-dimensional model did not display physical attributes. He would have to find time to test them.

His mana was fully restored, and its maximum had risen to fifteen points.

Furthermore... the "Dungeon" at the center of the instance had changed into "Dungeon Floors 1–5."

All of a sudden, Saiki Kusuo had a thought, and every monster was crushed to death directly by his psychic power.

"Th-this is..."

A cry of astonishment suddenly came from nearby.

Several people wearing armor and carrying weapons appeared at the entrance to the passage behind them.

With a cursory glance, Shen He saw that several of them were clearly not human. For example, there was the burly man with cat ears on his head.

"Have all the earth spirits in this area been cleared out?"

"Shh, a high-level adventurer is probably training a newcomer."

"Let's go somewhere else."

None of them were speaking Chinese, but for some reason, both Shen He and Saiki Kusuo could understand them.

Just as they turned to leave, Shen He suddenly called out to them.

"Which Familia are you from?"

"The Minos Familia, sir."

The muscular man with cat ears stopped and answered.
