Nick Fury and his allies exposed Hydra’s control of S.H.I.E.L.D. and stopped its Helicarriers, but Pierce escaped with Wanda and Snakehead. Apocalypse later confronted the transformed Snakehead, used Fortune to defeat him, and promised Wanda he would help rescue her brother.

• Fury and Black Widow escaped Hydra’s attack through the sewers, reached Captain America, and learned from Apocalypse’s warning that Pierce and other S.H.I.E.L.D. leaders were Hydra agents.
• Captain America, Black Widow, Fury, Hill, Falcon, and Kate exposed Pierce over S.H.I.E.L.D.’s broadcast and fought to seize the three Helicarriers, while Iron Man’s missiles destroyed Helicarrier C.
• Fury learned that Pierce was trying to seize Snakehead from the Super Prison, but Pierce used Wanda to break into the prison and escaped with Snakehead.
• Pierce persuaded Snakehead to pose as the Evil God, and Snakehead drank hundreds of serums, gained immense power, and began destroying American bases across Europe.
• Apocalypse returned to S.H.I.E.L.D. with Daisy and went to a casino to test Fortune, winning millions before using the power against Snakehead during a battle at a European Hydra base.
• Apocalypse offered Wanda the truth about her parents’ deaths and help finding her brother, but Wanda initially refused while Pierce used Quicksilver to control her.
• Apocalypse trapped Snakehead in a spatial loop and urged him to consume more serum, then erased his Fortune and killed him when the conflicting energies inside him exploded.
• Apocalypse rescued Pierce from the blast and brought him to Wanda, saying Pierce could help her find her brother.

Apocalypse uncovered Zola’s attempt to take over Vision’s body and confronted the copies of his consciousness spread across the world. After using the Infinity Stones to force Zola into a single physical form, Apocalypse captured his main consciousness and announced that he would eat him.

• Apocalypse destroyed Hydra’s hidden base, freed Wanda and Quicksilver, and learned from Quicksilver how to copy the Speed Force.
• Apocalypse visited Iron Man and Helen Zhao as they prepared Vision’s body, then exposed Zola when he tried to upload himself instead of JARVIS.
• Apocalypse awakened Vision with the Space Stone, and Vision joined his group as Zola began attacking S.H.I.E.L.D. through machines, weapons, and fabricated lottery payouts.
• Apocalypse used Zola’s signal to destroy nearby copies, but learned that wiping out every copy worldwide would require far more power.
• Apocalypse placed the Reality Stone, Power Stone, and Space Stone into the Infinity Gauntlet, then forced Zola’s copies to converge at P Site.
• Zola merged billions of copies into a giant physical form, but Apocalypse contained him and fought off his attempt to seize Apocalypse’s soul.
• Apocalypse devoured Zola’s mental illusion, captured his main consciousness after Wanda trapped a decoy, and told Nick Fury that he intended to eat Zola.

Apocalypse befriended Scott Lang and guided him into Hank Pym’s plan to stop Darren Cross from selling the Wasp Suit. After Ava escaped with Cross, Apocalypse, Scott, and Hope confronted them, but Cross unleashed devastating nuclear-energy attacks that threatened the city.

• Apocalypse absorbed Zola’s remaining consciousness, arranged compensation for civilians, and used the Reality Stone to uncover hidden threats on Earth.
• Apocalypse befriended Scott Lang, restored his visitation rights, and helped him reunite with Cassie, whom he empowered and encouraged to see her father as a hero.
• Apocalypse led Scott and Luis to Hank Pym’s house, where Scott stole the Ant-Man Suit and began training under Hank in exchange for a chance to make amends.
• Apocalypse revealed that Janet was alive in the Quantum Realm and helped Scott, Hope, and Hank prepare to rescue her while they investigated Cross’s Wasp Suit.
• At Cross’s demonstration, Apocalypse stopped a Hydra attack and exposed his identity, but Ava escaped with Cross after defeating his attempts to capture her.
• Apocalypse took Scott and Hope to Bill Foster’s laboratory, where they confronted Ava and Cross, and Scott and Hope disrupted Ava’s suit, and Apocalypse reattached her severed hand.
• Cross grew to enormous size and attacked Apocalypse, who contained and redirected his nuclear-energy blasts to protect the others and the city as S.H.I.E.L.D. detected the disturbance.

Apocalypse defeated Cross, rescued Janet, and became entangled in the conflict around Zemo and the Winter Soldiers before bringing Peter Parker into his circle. He then helped Black Widow reunite with Yelena and Red Guardian, and the group headed to find Melina.

• Apocalypse survived Cross’s escalating Nuclear Blast Fists, learned to reproduce the technique, and pursued Cross into the Quantum Realm after he escaped.
• Apocalypse entered the Quantum Realm with Dr. Pym, Scott Lang, and Ava, helped restore Ava’s body, found Janet, and later introduced Happy to May and Peter Parker.
• Apocalypse exposed Zemo’s role in the Siberian conflict, stopped his mutation, defeated the Mutant Winter Soldiers, and removed Hydra’s conditioning from Bucky.
• Apocalypse introduced himself to Peter and Ned, offered Peter S.H.I.E.L.D. training, and agreed to accompany Black Widow to Scandinavia to help with her family.
• Apocalypse helped Black Widow reunite with Yelena, heal her wounds, and defeat the attacking Widows, then neutralized their conditioning and placed them under Yelena’s leadership.
• Apocalypse took Black Widow, Yelena, and the Widows to rescue Red Guardian from prison, and the group escaped together by helicopter.
• Red Guardian said Melina was living outside Saint Petersburg, and Apocalypse protected the group from the defenses at her house as they arrived.
