Background / History

Gu Yuena is the Silver Dragon King and the true ruler of the Soul Beast Clan. Although she loves Tang Wulin, she initially considers their relationship irreconcilable: she cannot abandon the soul beasts, and he cannot abandon humanity. As the conflict approaches, she orders a beast tide despite privately apologizing to Tang Wulin and accepting that she may never become his wife. 2 3

Before the war, she enters an uneasy alliance with She Wuyi of the Feathered Serpent Clan. Gu Yuena provides life energy that evolves the Beast Platform and helps his subordinates advance, but she grows suspicious when he refuses to reveal his objectives or conditions. Unable to withdraw cleanly, she warns him not to harm anyone she values. 3

During the human–soul beast war, Gu Yuena reveals herself as Gu Yue, halts Di Tian’s berserk Dragon God Slash through spatial transfer, and formally chooses the soul beasts’ side. She declares Tang Wulin an enemy, only for the Golden Dragon King to seize Tang Wulin’s body shortly afterward. 21

Her defeat at the Golden Dragon King’s hands drives her to destroy her own godhead and invoke the Dragon Clan Law. The blood letter awakens the Nine Dragon Kings’ divine consciousnesses and creates the opening for their judgment of the Golden Dragon King, but Gu Yuena is left dying after much of her bloodline is consumed. 35 36

Gu Yuena dies on New Year’s Day after sharing dumplings brought by Di Tian, reliving her memories of Tang Wulin, Gu Yue, and Na’er. Di Tian subsequently sacrifices himself, aided by the Dragon God’s Heart and the Life Ancient Tree, to restore her body and bloodline. 60 62

The Dragon Clan Blessing reconstructs her Godhead and returns her as the Starry Night Divine King. She battles the Golden Dragon King, shields Douluo Star at the cost of her own divine power, and ultimately helps Tang Wulin reclaim control of his body. After the Golden Dragon King’s destruction, she accepts Tang Wulin’s offer of the Life Seed and agrees to seek coexistence between humanity and soul beasts. 63 68 78 79

Appearance

Gu Yuena is portrayed as an exceptionally beautiful woman with long silver hair, silver eyes, and a cold, noble bearing. Her eye color is also described as purple in some appearances. 3 14

  • Often wears a long dress and silver high heels in her human form. 3
  • Manifests silver battle armor, silver wings, and the Silver Dragon Spear in combat. 26
  • Her Starry Night Divine King form includes dark-purple armor, nine halos, and a river-of-stars manifestation. 63
  • As the Divine Spiral Silver Dragon God, she bears a colorful crown, nine-colored six wings, reverse-facing wrist claws, and a newly formed Dragon God’s Heart set at her chest. 138

Personality

Gu Yuena is defined by the conflict between love and responsibility. She repeatedly chooses the survival of soul beasts over personal happiness, even when doing so places her against Tang Wulin and condemns her to grief. 2 3

She is proud, calculating, and exceptionally resilient under pain. After the Golden Dragon King pierces her heart and tortures her, she refuses to plead, instead calling him pathetic and provoking his rage. 31

Her loyalty to the soul beasts does not prevent her from recognizing humanity’s right to survive. As the Starry Night Divine King, she expends her divine source to shield Douluo Star and rejects the Golden Dragon King’s belief that strength alone determines who deserves life. 68

In private, Gu Yuena is sentimental and deeply attached to home, family, and Tang Wulin. Dumplings remind her of her adoptive family and the warmth she lost; after reconciling with Tang Wulin, she becomes openly affectionate and teasing with him. 47 60 87 88

Abilities & Skills

Elemental and Spatial Mastery

Gu Yuena commands the seven elements of wind, fire, water, earth, space, light, and darkness. After becoming the Starry Night Divine King, she gains lightning; later, she also demonstrates celestial wind, rain, thunder, and electricity attributes. 30 63 69

  • Uses spatial transfer for movement, rescue, and battlefield repositioning. 21 68
  • Combines elements into techniques including Destruction Lightning, Divine Punishment Descends, Elemental Storm, and Spear of the Heavens. 30
  • Employs elemental counters rather than directly matching an opponent’s element, such as using light against darkness and darkness against light. 26
  • Her control can be disrupted by stronger time and space techniques, especially coordinated Time Stop attacks. 26 30

Silver Dragon Spear

Her signature weapon is a silver spear capable of channeling her elemental and divine power.

  • Used to fight the Nine Dragon Kings and the Golden Dragon King. 30 63
  • Can be infused with all seven elements for Seven Elements: Spear of the Firmament. 142
  • Remains her primary weapon even when her battle armor and physical condition are severely damaged. 30 31

Elemental Divine Weapons

At Divine King level, Gu Yuena condenses weapons from elemental essence, allowing her to shift between offense, defense, control, healing, and mobility. 68 70

  • Thunder Battle Hammer — close-range thunder combat. 69
  • Ice Blade — control and spatial rupture; briefly freezes the Golden Dragon King’s hand. 70
  • Earth Armor Shield — defensive barrier. 70
  • Space Ruler — creates a parallel space that redirects attacks and blocks hostile killing intent. 70
  • Rain Emblem — restores divine power and heals injuries. 69
  • The weapons can regenerate, but reconstruction consumes divine source power needed to maintain her continental protection. 70

Starry Night Domain

Her Divine King domain manifests a river of stars and amplifies both stellar and elemental attacks.

  • Raises her overall combat ability and can temporarily suppress the Golden Dragon King. 68
  • Is vulnerable to sustained energy expenditure and was dissolved by Dragon Emperor Radiance. 68
  • Its performance is limited when Gu Yuena simultaneously uses her divine source to shield Douluo Star. 68

Dragon Clan Law and the Dragon God’s Heart

Gu Yuena can draw on her Dragon Clan authority and the Dragon God’s legacy, though both come with severe costs.

  • Shatters her own godhead to create a blood letter and invoke the Dragon Clan Law against the Golden Dragon King. 35
  • Uses the Dragon God’s Heart to restore divine power, but the Golden Dragon King exploits the moment to ambush her. 31
  • Receives a newly formed Dragon God’s Heart after completing her Divine Spiral Silver Dragon God transformation. 138

Life Divine Throne

As the Life Goddess’s successor, Gu Yuena gains restorative power that remedies the weaknesses of her earlier fighting style.

  • The Life Goddess’s origin dissolves the Toxic Divine Fang embedded in her chest. 137
  • The Life Divine Throne continuously replenishes energy and reduces the strain caused by controlling multiple elements. 138 144
  • Uses Eternal Life, a life-based divine skill that floods the universe with life radiance and purifies corruption. 147

Equipment / Weapons / Items

  • Silver Dragon Spear — primary divine weapon and conduit for her elemental power. 26 30
  • Dragon God’s Heart — former supreme Transcendent Divine Artifact; central to her recovery and resurrection before it shatters during her Godhead restoration. 31 62 63
  • Elemental Divine Weapons — a variable arsenal condensed from elemental essence. 68 69 70
  • Life Divine Throne / Life Seed — accepted from Tang Wulin and later inherited from the Life Goddess. 79 137
  • Four-Character Battle Armor — destroyed during the Golden Dragon King’s ambush. 31

  • Na’er — Her fused identity and spiritual counterpart. Na’er sacrifices her own divine consciousness to help Gu Yuena trap the Golden Dragon King. 60 73

  • She Wuyi — Untrusted Feathered Serpent Clan ally whose concealed agenda traps Gu Yuena in a dangerous cooperation. 3
