History

The Dragon God entrusted Di Tian with guarding the soul beasts, Star Dou Great Forest, and the Dragon Clan’s last pure bloodline before entering slumber. Di Tian accepted the duty without reservation, promising to protect both Star Dou and his lord with his life 20.

For ten thousand years, he watched Star Dou decline while humanity continued hunting, exploiting, and imprisoning soul beasts. His resentment hardened into a conviction that he had to fight for his race’s survival, even if doing so cost his own life 9 11.

Di Tian led the million-strong beast tide against humanity and formally declared war, rejecting Yun Ming’s offers of negotiation as meaningless after generations of bloodshed 9. He proposed a structured series of matches rather than immediately beginning a full war, then personally entered the opening duel against Yun Ming 10.

Although Yun Ming pushed him into revealing successive trump cards, Di Tian ultimately broke Gods’ Fall by dissolving the Dragon God’s Claw and summoning the phantom Imperial Dragon Sacred Sword 15 19. The emotional influence of Heartless and Passionate Douluo’s Martial Soul Fusion Skill awakened long-suppressed grief, devotion, and hatred within him; he burned his Life Flame and nearly destroyed himself while wielding the Dragon God Sword 20.

After Gu Yuena was gravely injured and stripped of her Godhead, Di Tian hid her in a cave, protected her with an illusion, and cared for her despite having no way to restore her shattered divine foundation 44. When she later died, he refused to accept her loss. He sacrificed his Dragon King bloodline and life force, petitioned the Dragon God’s Heart, and joined with the Life Ancient Tree to restore her body and more than seventy percent of her bloodline 61 62.

Di Tian was later revived through the power of Genesis, ascended as a First-Level God, and received the Divine Throne of the Dark Dragon King 79. A century afterward, he and Yun Ming jointly managed the Divine Realm’s gods on behalf of the beast and human races 83.

Appearance

Di Tian can take human form, but his most recognizable appearance is his true form: the Golden-Eyed Black Dragon King, an immense black dragon whose draconic head alone measures at least a thousand meters 9 14.

His long life left him isolated and emotionally repressed. He desired to explore beyond the world’s barrier, but believed he could never leave while Star Dou and the Dragon Clan’s final bloodline still required protection 20. His hidden affection for Gu Yuena, combined with grief over the soul beasts’ decline, became a source of both loyalty and destructive rage 20.

Initially, Di Tian viewed humanity chiefly through the suffering humanity had inflicted on soul beasts. His conversation with Wang Qiang and his experience making dumplings gave him a more personal understanding of human love, family, labor, and companionship; afterward, he acknowledged that good humans existed 58 61.
