Background

Tang Wulin first meets Yun Zhiyu after accidentally colliding with her in East Sea City while on his way to East Sea Academy. At the time, he is a poor but determined young blacksmith who is deeply insecure about his Bluesilver Grass martial soul, low innate soul power, and reputation among other students. Yun Zhiyu recognizes his potential, defends him from ridicule, and becomes the first person to publicly call him a friend 23.

He enters Zero Class alongside Yun Zhiyu, Gu Yue, Xie Xie, Zhang Yangzi, Wei Xiaofeng, Wang Jinxi, and Wu Nianbing.
